Diana's place is in a great central location, we were able to walk everywhere - downtown and across the river. The place was clean, well stocked and organized. Lots of towels, linens, games, all the things :).
We left something after we checked out, and Diana was quick to respond that she found it and would mail it to me.

What a wonderful stay at Aspen House! We loved walking to Jackson's Corner for breakfast every AM. We hiked at Smith Rock & did Pilot Butte to burn off some calories. We had a blast at Silver Moon & Bend Brewing & appreciated the quick walk to Market of Choice for drinks/snakcs!

I loved having the key code for the door so I didn’t have to worry about losing a key while I went off and adventured. Perfect set up for working remote: quiet, cool and great internet! "The location can't be bea"

We had a great stay at Aspen house. The location can't be beat--walkable to Market of Choice, all sorts of restaurants and retail in Downtown, Box Factory, and Old Mill. We were even able to do some long walks down the Deschutes River Trail (about 7 miles out and back). The kitchen was outfitted with everything I needed to cook, which can be a challenge to find as I think most hosts assume you will do minimal cooking and eat out most meals. Although Bond Street seems busy, the traffic noise is very minimal and didn't bother our sleep at all. We would consider an even longer stay here with the kitchen, washer/dryer, and backyard seating to eat meals outside in the summer. Diana and crew were totally responsive--as in immediate replies to my text messages. Great place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay in this bungalow close to downtown Old Bend very much. Diane was very helpful with reaching out to make sure we had everything we needed. Communication with her was frequent and informative. The space had a cozy living room area, two bedrooms, clean bathroom and a very large and clean kitchen.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and included some nice quality cookware and dishes. We stayed there during Thanksgiving and was able to cook some side dishes in this kitchen easily, finding the necessary bake ware readily available.
We enjoyed walking to downtown which was minutes away and accessing the nearby parks and river by foot. There is a heat pump system that took us a few minutes to figure out but once we did our space was warm and comfortable. Good to find out since we are having one installed in our own home soon. There are memory foam pads on the beds in the bedrooms. Overall, we had a lovely stay. Robin Malby

Every little and big thing about Aspen House was absolutely perfect! Communication with Diana was always timely, friendly, & informative. The house was spotless and special. Local coffee was there for us, and creamers in the fridge. The online guidebook that Diana makes available was actually fun reading and super helpful as we planned for our Bend adventure. Would stay at Aspen House again in a heartbeat!

Aspen house is such a sweet and perfect little house to stay in downtown Bend! It’s a few minutes walk to most of the best restaurants and shops in town. Everything was clean, tidy and well decorated. The beds were extremely firm so I don’t think we would book a stay for longer than two nights, but for our extended weekend stay it was tolerable. The Roku and tv is on its way out and is very slow so maybe don’t bet on that being available or if you have impatient kids bring something else. The kitchen had everything you need including complimentary chocolates and coffee. Parking was easy and right next to the house in a driveway so no need to worry about parking on the road.

We walked to downtown for dinner one evening, walked to the Old Mill district another evening, walked to Market of Choice and grabbed dinner and sat in the backyard patio and ate, walked to coffee.... Rode our bikes from the rental to the start of the Twin Bridges Scenic Bikeway. It was great.

This home is a perfect location and so walkable to both downtown and the Old Mill District and more. We brought our walking 13 month old and it was a cozy stay and he loved making a climbing course out of all of the comfy pillows! Great water pressure, the TV has ROKU which is nice for streaming, and the kitchen has oil and spices which is always a help when cooking at home! Communication was prompt and they anticipated needs. Very clean and comfy all around! It was the perfect little stay.

"Home Heaters"

The main heater is not very powerful. We had it cranked up but it was not able to warm the house. However, there are small heaters in the rooms that if you turn them on, and open the doors, you can get the house to a moderately comfortable temperature.

This beautiful home is close to lots of great restaurants in Bend. It’s conveniently located on Bond St, but there wasn’t any traffic noise.
The house was stocked with everything you’d need do have a relaxing time. The bed was comfortable, and the bedrooms had cozy wall heaters.
If I go back to Bend, I’ll definitely stay here again.

Great place to spend the weekend! It is located close to a lot of fun bars and restaurants and shopping. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. We enjoyed getting out of Portland and having a peaceful two nights rest! Bend is beautiful! Highly recommend catching some live music and visiting Smith Rock while you are here! What an amazing stay in Bend, and this house made it so perfect! Only got in the car two times otherwise we walked everywhere. I loved heading out on my bike every morning, riding all around town and out on the Scenic Oregon Biway, out in Tumalo, up Black Butte and many point in between. This home was the perfect spot to come back to every night after adventuring at all the great spots downtown (Especially CJ's, Zydecos, The Still, The broomcloset, defiently the coolest of them all!) perfect location and perfect size and comfort for us. The house was fantastic. I walked to Market of Choice for groceries. I often opened the front window during the day. Miyagi Ramen was my favorite lunch spot. Crux fermentation project is a fantastic outdoor "Beer Garden" spot. Lastly, no trip to Bend is complete without a trip to Smith Rock.

Wonderful, cozy house close to downtown Bend, the Old Mill district. Check-in and communication was quick and helpful. Guides are provided with lots of suggestions. We had just finished the three-sisters loop for backpacking and this was a great place to rest and relax for a few days. Loved that they had washer and dryer. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of blankets, pillows and towels were provided. There is a small patio, grill and table in the backyard, but we spent most of our time relaxing or walking around Bend. It was perfect for us.”

We loved the Aspen House. It was more than we could have hoped for: pretty house in a nice neighborhood; walking distance to downtown and Drake Park; an incredibly comfortable house with nice yard for eating outside. In addition, the service offered by A Stones Throw was superb. We we thrilled with the house and extended our stay three times; what was supposed to be a three day stay wound up being eleven. And each time we requested the extension Brook was responsive and completely cooperative. Finally, on our last day, we asked for a late checkout and Diana responded right away and was generous in allowing us to remain until 1:00. So, an enthusiastic and positive review for Aspen House and thanks especially to Brook and Diana for their help.”
