"Diana’s place was perfect"

Stayed in Bend for a couple days with my wife. Diana’s place was perfect as it was within minutes of anywhere we wanted to go and relatively inexpensive. A huge plus was having the hot tub. Had an issue with a wood pecker pecking at the walls which Diana swiftly fixed for us. We will definitely keep this place in mind if we make our way out here again.

We stayed at Diana's home for two nights in Bend before the Bend Marathon. The location was extremely walkable and we were able to walk to multiple parks/restaurants nearby. Diana provided a lot of helpful instructions for the house and was very proactive with her communication and we would definitely stay here again while visiting Bend.

Great little place to stay for the particular area! Short drive or even walk from good restaurants and shopping in downtown. Stay had good space and the separated deck on the second story is definitely a plus. Would definitely stay again. Just note that there are neighbors close by that need the area quite in the earlier evening so if you plan on bringing kids or a noisy dog it might become a dilemma. Overall, great place to stay for all the adventures in the Bend and the surrounding area!

We enjoyed staying here in the snow. The house was dog-friendly. The hot tub was clean and worked well. Great-smelling soaps, shampoos, and lotions. The heated floors were appreciated. We did have some trouble with our car because of all the snow and the city didn’t plow the street. Would definitely come back again.

All the amenities were there, the beds were incredibly, I cannot express enough comfortable. I'd also like to point out that I left three items at the Airbnb, and all them or recovered quickly. If I ever come back to bend I will stay there again, and hopefully not leave anything behind

This little gem was a great week-end getaway! Comfy and cozy during the cold winter days - we used it as a base for exploring Bend by foot and car. It was too cold to use the outdoor space (except for the hot tub), but we imagine this space must be amazing in the warmer weather - a patio off the main floor and very large deck off both bedrooms. We appreciated the little things, like chocolates, creamer in the fridge, and very well-appointed kitchen. We will definitely return!

The Stone's Throw team made us feel pampered (thanks for the grocery shop pre-arrival!) and were incredibly fast with responses whenever we had a question. We had a great stay and really appreciated the cleanliness, location and all the little extras - Halloween candy, pet items (especially the lint roller!), coffee, hot chocolate and teas and eco-friendly soaps. We were able to easily walk to downtown and explore and walk back through Drake Park. Our pup enjoyed the cool floors as well as having her own fenced space. Loved the upstairs deck space off both bedrooms as well! Overall, we had everything we needed and enjoyed our time there. Thank you!

Such a beautiful little cabin. We really glad we could come and enjoy part of my birthday. We played cards one night and went in the hot tub. That was probably my favorite night of the 2 we had here.

The upstairs bathroom is shared, but that was fine for us -- something to think about if space is an issue for your group.

There were cruiser bikes, but we didn't use them. We used the hot tub, though, which was perfect for the five of us.

Great location and clean place. My only complaints are that communication was not great. Most of my inbox messages went unresponded, and I had to use their “emergency contact” phone number to get anyone to reply. In addition, they state that they’ve checked everything prior to check in, but when we arrived, the tv didn’t work and 2 out of the 4 promised bikes were broken. The latter is especially frustrating given there was limited good weather, and we chose this Airbnb over another specifically because we had 4 guests, and this Airbnb had 4 bikes. When i contacted our host via the emergency number, they did come out and replace the 2 bikes, but it took a number of hours, and even then, one of the bikes had a bad chain that kept slipping off, which made a long ride impossible. The quality of the bikes in general was poor - I wouldn’t advertise them as a guaranteed item.

I did very much appreciate that they extended our stay for free, letting us check out in the evening instead of the morning, allowing us to utilize some of the good weather and also allowing me to keep my pumped breast milk frozen before the flight.

All in all, the place was nice and I’d recommend. I would just ask the hosts to be more communicative over the app and keep bikes in better condition.

A Stone's Throw was a great choice for my family's 3 day trip to Bend. Check-in was easy. The place was clean and as described. It was conveniently located for walking or biking to downtown. The beds were very comfortable! We were 3 adults and 1 dog and it was a great setup for us. We also did a lot of cooking and found the kitchen to be very well appointed. The bungalow is located in a quiet neighborhood, but still close to everything. We would definitely stay there again!

A clean, beautiful home with a well-maintained hot tub! The coffee machine was not usable, and after texting the owner brought us a new one as s replacement so we could enjoy breakfast at “home”. Our dog appreciated being able to join as well! There is a great local-info binder provided, and truly everything was within a 15 minute walk from the house. Quiet, clean, comfy, warm... we loved it!

The thing to be aware of is Casa Sol does not currently have a/c, so be prepared if you are visiting during the warm season (they do provide fans and if you open the windows to get the cool air in the morning it is manageable). The 3 ring binders are very helpful for dining, activities, and shopping. Communication was awesome and check-in/check-out was a breeze! They were extra flexible as the numbers of our party changed a few times - including a dog and then not a dog - and it was absolutely smooth communication. We'll definitely be back to another A Stone's Throw property!

This place was great! It had tons of stuff that made experiencing Bend amazing! the best was having more bikes for people who didn't bring some down. Everything in Bend is so close, biking is the way to go.

Great location in the heart of Bend! Everything was clean and comfortable, and the communication from our hosts was excellent. We were there in the summer when it was 95 degrees and the AC units worked great at keeping us all cool. The wifi was good and the kitchen was well supplied for our mini getaway with a group of friends. Definitely a great place to stay!

It had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, living room, etc. We had two small children with us and it was perfect for them as well inside and outside (even provided the pack and play!). Our stay at Casa Luna and Casa Sol was hands-down one of the best AirBnB experiences we've ever had. The place was clean well furnished and in an amazing location in Bend, essentially six minutes from anywhere in Bend, according to Siri. Our trip was a getaway adventure with parents in tow, having the well set up duplex was perfect as the parents were well taken care of in one unit, close enough to feel like they were part of the adventure, yet far enough away for us to enjoy ours. Any Messages that were sent to the owners were promptly responded to within less than a minute, they are definitely on top of their game. If I could give more than five stars, I would, and I would highly recommend Casa Luna/Sol to anyone.

"Upper Deck is Very Private"

Two large bedrooms with a full size separate bath upstairs. The upper deck is very private and good for looking at the stars. The small downstairs kitchen / dining and living room was OK, but the open layout made the most of a small footprint. Half bath downstairs was convenient.

The four available bikes were a nice bonus and the flat neighborhood made it easy to pedal to shops, restaurants and parks downtown. Old Mill district is a bit further, but is a short drive if you don't have time / energy for a ride.

Hot tub was super easy to use and a nice way to end the day.

Covered parking was good and I was able to use 120 VAC plug to top off my PHEV each night.

We stayed at Casa Luna for a short 3 days, we really wished there had been more days available! We would've booked it longer. The house was perfect for our family of four and could easily accommodate 1-2 more. It was the perfect location and perfectly appointed. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed, and we were able to do laundry without having to use coins nor buy our own laundry detergent. All the kitchen and bathroom basics were provided (soap, shampoo, lotion, etc.).
Did I mention the king size beds and soft bedding? If I didn't, I'd be remiss, it was so comfortable to sleep at night! That and given the fact that we felt so safe and comfortable in the neighborhood.
We also used two of the cruisers that were in the shed, great bikes for riding downtown and around the rivers edge.

We had a great experience staying at Las Casas. It was perfect for our group of 10 and the location was so close to downtown. Check in was super easy and the space itself was incredibly comfortable and roomy. I would love to come back in the future

Casa Sol is a lovely property in a great location. It is within walking or biking distance to popular locations like Drake Park and several breweries and the downtown area but far enough away to be quiet in the evening. There are two lovely decks, one downstairs which is more shaded with a hot tub (you do share a wall with two story house right behind you so don't expect a ton of privacy) and the other is more sun filled and accessible from both of the bedrooms upstairs. We found the upstairs deck perfect for morning coffee and evening happy hour once the heat of the day had past. There are comfortable shays and a table for 4. There are no views to speak of from this deck, you basically look down on an somewhat industrial building however look past it, and you will see Hillcrest Park. The park is a short hike away and offers nice views. The property management group has thought of all the details that makes renting a house pleasant and worry free. There is a fully stocked kitchen (even had a coffee grinder and french press coffee maker!) that includes a wide variety of spices. The bikes offered are in decent condition and adult bike helmets are provided. Don't expect top of the line or a perfect fit of either of course. If you are particular, BYO. Only one bike lock was provided at the time of our rental, something I shared at checkout that was not ideal. Note that bike lights are not provided and are a must if you plan to ride in the evening - the streets are very dark. The house itself is inviting, skylights allow the beautiful Eastern Oregon sun to fill each room, the furniture is simple and comfortable. The beds are comfortable the bedrooms are spacious. Something to note if you visit in the summer - there is no air conditioning, if that is something that is important to you. Temperatures in Bend are relatively moderate however, it can get pretty warm at times. There are large ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room and there are plenty of windows to open to provide airflow.

Air conditioning has been installed at this home and it can be enjoyed in both of the upstair bedrooms and the living room. We checked on the bike locks and found the rest of them hanging on a wall where they may have been out of view. We will place them better for all to see. "A Gem"

Our family greatly enjoyed our stay at Casa Luna. The location was perfect. We walked into downtown Bend several times visiting restaurants, brew pubs and activities in Drake Park. Our stay was very comfortable as Casa Luna had all the amenities we could possibly want, was very clean and tidy, and had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in over decades of travel. The design and decor was very clever and charming. Although we did not use the bikes we certainly would have if our stay had been longer. The hot tub was a treat after a long day of hiking. Over the years we have stayed in other VRBO properties near Bend, as well as hotels and I can say that Casa Luna is a real gem among them. We will certainly choose to stay there again when our travels take us to Central Oregon.

The host responded quickly and made booking with a pet a very easy. The house is fantastic, comfortable and well-appointed. The outside seating areas were great, with the hot tube a nice bonus. What made the house so great though is the location. We didn't drive anywhere. Downtown, Newport, and Galveston all with easy walking distance. 10-Barrel Brewing, Chow, Nancy's P, Spork, and the Newport Market were an easy walk. The hosts put to together really nice binder with recommendations for Bend too.I would definitely book this place again, and would highly recommend it. The location was prefect and the house was really nice. The instructions everywhere in the house were very helpful. Great Binder.

We had a wonderful time staying here! The upstairs patio is perfect for catching a tan, or enjoying your morning coffee with a good book! Perfectly close to downtown, and the bikes made it extremely easy to bounce around town! We will definitely be staying there again!

"The best placed we've stayed."

My husband and I travel a lot and have stayed at many rentals and Casa Luna is by far the BEST rental we've ever stayed in! Everything is brand new from the beds, linens & kitchen utilities to the condo itself. The location is perfect and we were able to walk to town (10 minutes) and to multiple parks (5 minutes and 10 minutes). What we liked most about our stay was the thoughtfulness put into the amenity selection. From dish soap to shampoo/conditioner/body wash to laundry detergent- everything is organic or all natural- brands you see at Whole Foods. Also, the condo provides a GROWLER to fill at breweries so you can bring home local brews! We've never stayed in a rental with so much thought put into every detail. The only thing I think could use improvement is the way the living room is set up- there is a smaller couch facing the TV (smart TV, BTW, with access to your Netflix account!) and the larger couch is against the wall, below and to the side of the TV. This setup is great for socializing but if your a few people trying to watch a movie it might get tricky. Not a deal breaker, though, because there is room to move the couch if you need too. But then again, why would you want to watch movies when you can sit in the hot tub with a beer from your local brewery?

"The Gas Fireplace is Wonderful"

I found myself in a quandary, coming to Bend with my other lodging having cancelled a the last minute! Fortunately, I got a fast reply and was able to find lodging here within 24 hours--very fast response! Casa Luna is across the lake, about a 15 minute walk to downtown Bend. Make sure you go through the park instead of across Newport Bridge, it's much prettier that way! There is a binder with all sorts of great recommendations for restaurants and cafes (including how far away they are for walking, which was great). The gas fireplace is wonderful to sit in front of when the nights get chilly, or when you come back in from the hot tub. There are also a few books and a Jenga-like game for entertainment, and if you have a Netflix account you can log in and watch on the TV. The detailed instructions for how to find the place and how to get in, and all the necessary information was in the email, love that! It was awesome to be able to hook up Netflix--if I were on "a real vacation" I probably wouldn't have, but to chill out after a busy day working? So great.
