Such a great place! We were in town for a concert at the amphitheater it was an easy walk. We loved the other home with the wood floors and functional kitchen.

I would say this home is about the location! Right in the heart of "Old Bend". One can pretty much head in any direction and find themselves with a plethora of options for dining, sight seeing, etc. And all of it within about a 10 minute walk or less!
The home itself is older which gives it a lot of charm. The hardwood floors are lovely even if fairly creeky. The old school covered front porch is a perfect spot to relax with a coffee in the morning. Rocking chairs would make the porch something straight out of a 1950's movie! However, the Adirondack chairs do work well.
This is an older home and the fixtures reflect that. For example the upstairs shower has a fixed head. Meaning not only is it non-removable, but it doesn't rotate either. For those six foot tall plus, it makes for a tough time time get covered.
Overall, great value for the place and would stay here again.

This was the perfect location for an easy walk downtown, Old Mill or the River. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Great historical house to stay in a very central location. Walk 15 min and you can be about anywhere in downtown Bend.

Easy commute out to Mt Bachelor and the fresh snow was a nice treat!

A great spot to stay while in Bend. Walkable to downtown and you can’t beat Jackson’s Corner a block away for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The house was perfect and stocked with all of the essentials.

We had a wonderful stay at Diana’s. We live in a 100 year old home so we appreciate historic homes with lots of love and character. If you too, have this appreciation, this is the home for you. If you’re looking for modern, this isn’t for you. Super clean, lovely front porch, cozy and peaceful. The location is fantastic! The basement bedroom is exceptionally quiet which was perfect for a light sleeper like me. The highlight was definitely the location as it’s so walkable. The fireplace is beautiful as well as the original features. Thank you, Diana!

We had a lovely stay at Diana's charming bungalow. Perfect location close to everything, walkable to cute restaurants and shops, the Old Mill District and the river. Adorable historic home, felt super cozy in comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, and spacious living spaces, felt right at home. My personal favorite was listening to my audio book, drinking my tea, on the front porch in the mornings, watching the squirrels play in the tree and people walking by with their dogs and friends. Our short stay was exactly what we wanted - walk all around Bend and forget about our car and enjoy all the local hangouts as well as sneak in a whitewater rafting trip!

Wonderful location

The home was lovely. It was bright and clean. It was pleasant to sit on the porch, use the backyard or lounge in the back yard. We debated between this place and a cheeper one and we're really happy we went for this one.

Great Location! Close to everything

We had the best stay here! This home is super comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved the big backyard and spent a lot of time playing lawn games, bbqing and dipping in the hot tub. The location is unbeatable. It is just a few blocks from the old mill district (we walked to get amazing coffee and pastries daily). It is also just a 10 min walk to downtown bend and a 15 min walk to the amphitheater.

We plan on staying here again for all future trips to bend. Highly recommend!

Great place. What stood out was the well stocked and organized kitchen. The saltwater hot tub was awesome to soak in after skiing without the typical chemical smell. Very easy walk to great dining options.

Diana's place was amazing. My friends and I stayed there for an epic weekend of skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Bachelor. Diana's home is within walking of breweries and dining options. The house growler you can bring to the breweries to take back to the home was a great touch. Hot tub was also great. House is well maintained, cleaned, and well stocked. Would highly recommend and will be consider for future trips to Bend. Diana is also very proactive with her communication.

Great place!

Great place and location, but checkin was needlessly inhospitable. We were told we might be able to get in early, but that we could pay $25 an hour to guarantee an early check in. Otherwise, we were told we might be able to get in early if the cleaning crew finished early.

We sat outside of the house before the 4 pm check in. It looked clean, but we were told it still needed QA. We walked around for a bit, and then came back 30 minutes before check in. We were told at tha ttime that an early check in was not possible. We basically sat outside of this house, looking inside and texting the owner, rather than going inside. At 4 pm on the dot, we were allowed in. It was a pointless waste of everyone's time.

We were also told we'd be able to put our bags inside the house before check in, but that was not possible.

It feels like the host kept us outside for no reason because we wouldn't pay for early entry.

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay as we found this place to be exceptionally clean, well-stocked with essentials and extras including games and snacks, and it is located within close proximity of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment venues. We walked to some restaurants and stores and other places were a short drive away. This is an older home that is well maintained, comfortable, and offers great gathering spaces on the main floor and in the basement. The yard was well kept, the hot tub was ready to use although we did not take advantage of the opportunity, and the front porch provided a nice space to relax outside. The home sits on a corner, and although one of the roads is somewhat busy, we were not disturbed by the traffic, and we felt completely safe. I highly recommend this home as it is a great location to explore Bend and the surrounding area.

We loved our stay in the Bungalow. Our host was responsive to our questions and the accommodation was as described. This place is centrally located so that most Bend neighborhoods can be reached by foot. Jacksons Corner is right down the street and a great place to grab a bite. Go meet former Mayor Steve at the Bend Historical Museum and ask Rebecca for tips on exploring the city!

Keep in mind that this is an older home. On our first day, one of the circuits blew out while I was blow drying my hair in the bathroom. This took out power in the outlets of the bathroom & one of the bedrooms, as well as the backyard light and the hot tub. Diana came by the next day to fix the issue and got everything back up and running. She was a great host and was responsive when we had this issue as well as any other questions we had. The location was perfect, very close to the old mill in Bend. Lots of restaurants & shops within walking distance. This house is very spacious, and great for families. It was just my husband and I staying here so we had a lot of space. We enjoyed the hot tub. We didn’t get a chance to use the bikes, but they were available. Great stay overall.

This place was adorable! We came to relax after a few days backpacking. The hot tub was a lovely way to indulge! The home is walkable to most of bend’s big restaurant / bar areas including old mill, box factory and downtown. The beds are on the stiffer side but comfortable enough. Would for sure stay again!

We had a GREAT stay! The house is cozy and clean, we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. It had everything that we needed, and plenty of space for three couples - we couldn't have been more pleased with the house! But the location was certainly the best part - just a short walk in either direction put us in the thick of everything! Shops, bars, restaurants, the river... Everything was easily walkable within minutes without the hassle of parking or the cost of getting an Uber. Perfect house for a getaway/long weekend, and a perfect location - we couldn't have been happier with our stay!

We loved Stone's throw Bungalow! Diana was a super helpful host and very responsive. The bungalow is so well appointed with three really comfy bedrooms and a fun basement with a foosball table that we enjoyed. The location is awesome for walking to all kinds of great restaurants and walking trails along Mirror Pond and for getting into town. All in all, a wonderful stay and place!! I would totally recommend and come back to stay! 5-star all the way around!

My husband, two teenage daughters and I had a great time staying at the cottage in Bend. The house was an easy walk to the trails along the river, downtown and The Mill District. There is a grocery store a few blocks away as well. We skied at Mt. Bachelor - an easy drive from the house. The house had oils, salt and pepper, few spices, but if you're planning to cook, you'll need to buy/bring anything beyond that. Overall a pleasant stay!

Great place. Got a kick out of the neighbor's placing naked mannequins starting at us through the bedroom window. Not sure what was up with that, but fantastic stay.

This a great house in a great location! Good company who manages in Bend (my niece has rented from them before). Easiest checkout ever! Kitchen is a little cramped but well stocked. Would definitely rent it again.

This AirBNB was fantastic for our week in Bend. The location is very walkable to so many restaurants, breweries, and other attractions. It was also a great launch pad to our days of skiing at Mt Bachlore. Being able to return to the house and enjoy the hot tub became a welcomed daily routine.

The location is excellent, in between downtown and the old mill district. The only negative thing we had to say was that they wanted to charge an hourly rate for early check in even though the house was ready.

This house is in the historical section of Bend and next to one of my favorite places, Jacksons Corner. I was able to use the bikes provided to pretty much get anywhere in the Bend area with ease and the house itself is very comfortable and very well appointed with all the amenities one would want. I would very much recommend this property for a very enjoyable stay. Finally, I can see why Diana is a Super Host. She made the check in easy, immediately responded to my one inquiry and checked in with us once situated to make sure all was well.

The Bernard Justice house is perfectly situated in Bend! So close to the Old Mill shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is safe and relaxing! The home has everything you could possibly need and the host is more than accommodating. It was a perfect get away for our family. The hot tub is SPIC AND SPAN! A must stay for your next Bend trip!

Love this cozy house. Excellent location, walked everyday to drake park, downtown, the river trail to the Old Mill...it was perfect. The house is old and squeaky but it's part of its charm. Jacuzzi was a nice bonus and the basement was good for my husband to get some work done. amazing communication with Diana the entire time.

Very good location, walking distance to Old Mill and Whitewater river park, very close to downtown. The house is very clean and beds are comfy. There is plenty of room for our family of six. The hose Diana is very quick to reply the messages. We really enjoy our stay.

This place was great! The location couldn’t be better, with access to town, the river, parks and lots of great places to eat. The bikes were a perfect touch as well. We were able to do everything we wanted on our trip and never had to get into the car!

The historic home met all of our needs and had a lovely setting. We were able to enjoy private time in the fenced back yard under the pine trees while easily walking to all locations in town. Family of 4 stayed for a week in July during the heatwave. I was worried about house being comfortable with 105 day temps but portable AC units and fans did the trick. House was just as advertised. Great location - we walked everywhere. Things were so close we didn’t even feel the need to use the bikes! Would stay again.

The house was fantastic with lots of room indoors and out. We took advantage of the hot tub to soothe our sore muscles after long mountain bike rides. Such a great location - loved being able to walk to the food trucks, breweries, the river and Market of Choice. Highly recommended!

A charming and well loved house, just as the write up says. Coming from the Bay Area and Settle, this house was the perfect meeting point to truly explore all Bend has to offer. The teenagers had the downstairs and us adults were able to relax on the main level. The house was immaculate, with enjoyable front porch & backyard areas all well kept. The little touches of local decor, local suggestions to explore and the organized and clean kitchen cabinets this is house we'll happily return too. Diana was so prompt with questions - excellent experience!

Enjoyed our stay in Bend, used the hot tub quite a bit and it was nice to be able to walk to most of the sights around town. Quiet neighborhood that felt very safe. There is a great grocery store about a 10 min walk nearby.

We had a great time exploring Bend! Walking through the lava fields and caves were some of tour favorite things as well as playing on the river. Al the restaurants were fantastic to walk to.

This was the perfect place to take my young mom for her 80th birthday trip. Spacious, clean, within blocks of many restaurants and shops. Loved this little cottage. So cozy and close to all of the restaurants downtown that we could walk! Zydeco is a MUST! Enjoyed our first day at Mt.Bachelor with fresh snow and the second was a beautiful bluebird kind of day. Our first trip to Oregon was so wonderful we got to see Monkey face at Smith Rock and then went to Faith, hope and charity winery, great place with an AMAZING view.

The house was in a great location. There were coffee shops just a two minute walk away, it was a short walk into town, and it was very quick to get on the road to Mt. Bachelor. It was very cozy and we loved sitting in the living room looking at the fire and feeling its warmth. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. We would definitely book this house if we come to Bend again.

Bungalow served our purposes. Close to town and eateries. Considerable street traffic beside house. Place was clean, good amenities for the younger set, I.e. bikes, bar b que, hot tub basement rec room we did not utilize.

This was an awesome landing pad for our 2 small families with school aged kids. Walkable/bikeable to everything, well stocked, very comfortable and managers were super responsive. Will definitely try to book this home in the future!

Easy renting, great service. They checked in with us during the visit to make sure all was good. The location is great, in good weather you can walk all over. The only issue is if you are sensitive to road noise, you may need some white noise for sleeping. Otherwise it was great

It’s cute, (so cute!) location is beyond perfect, (you can walk to Old Mill and downtown within 5 minutes) everything was spotless, the layout of the home is great for 5ppl, (and kids!) and it was safe. Bend is clean, everyone was really friendly and nice and this home made our trip that much better. The ladies did a great job of providing recs and suggestions in the little binder.... this was a great touch. Thank you for allowing us to live in this adorable historical home for 4 days. It was perfect for our family of five. (Girls are 1.5 and 4.5 year olds) See ya next time :0)

There were a ton of walkable restaurants, bars, and of course breweries, and you can get to the river in about 5 minutes. The home had everything we needed and more - the backyard and hot tub were a huge plus! I would definitely stay here again while visiting Bend.

What a wonderful surprise this home was! I've been burned by bad Airbnbs in the recent past, so approached this stay with some caution. But that was unnecessary because this home far exceeded my expectations. Top of the list is its ideal location: close to breweries, bakeries, coffee shops, and more, it's also merely a 7-ish minute walk to downtown Bend, which meant we rarely needed the car and were able to enjoy the sunshine. The hot tub was a lovely added feature, providing warmth and relaxation during the cold fall nights. And it was in perfect condition--clean and operational--just like the rest of the home! We had plenty of pillows, blankets, shampoo/conditioner, soap, even Kleenex! As an older, historic home, we wondered (after hearing some strange noises) if the home was haunted, and jokingly began greeting "Rupert" upon arrival after each day's excursions. 😉 On a more serious note, the welcome book with clear instructions, helpful information, and recommendations on places to go was a nice touch. All Airbnb hosts could learn a thing or three from this lovely example of how to do vacation rentals right!

This is a great house. It is right between downtown and the Old Mill district about a 10 minute walk in either direction. The management runs the house like a business, very professional and attention to details (like frosted beer classes in the freezer, coffee, a binder of instructions and list of restaurants). It also has a good size back yard with a hot tub. It is a charming old craftsman’s style home. The upstairs has two bedrooms ( king and queen) that share a bathroom. A living area with a working TV and Wi-Fi. Nicely equipped kitchen, laundry and access to the backyard and hot tub. To our surprise there is a full downstairs with a third king bedroom; second bathroom and another living room; and access to the outside. There are bikes in the shed (we didn’t use or did I check them out). I would stay at this place again.

Very cozy and less than five minutes walk from town.Everything as expected and clean. Great bonus tv room in the basement, very use able. Only star deducted for the hot tub not being fully private. It is ok to use but a little extra privacy shielding would have been nice.

We stayed the last week of November, hoping for a central location to the fun parts of Bend and the mountain. This house delivered. We had a five minute walk to the Old Mill district and less of a drive to downtown. The house itself is full of character and charm. It was spacious and fit our family perfectly.

Great location in Bend, centrally located between the Mill Town area and the Downtown area. 10-15 minute walk to either area, or easy bike ride or Uber. Very cozy, clean, older home, with comfortable furniture, firm beds, amenities are on point. Basement entertainment area seems like a great open space for kids. Hot tub, bikes and a growler (to be filled) were bonus!

Great location, bikes were very convenient. So many incredible hikes nearby. Blue Pool about an hour out was the coolest hike. Thanks for the memories.

Location, location, location. Seriously, a visit to Bend could not put you in a better location. It's walkable to basically EVERYTHING. I couldn't imagine a better spot for visiting Bend for a family, in particular. There's Market of Choice for your groceries (walkable), Jackson's Corner literally a block away for easy eating three meals a day, coffee at Jackson's or Palate (also a block away), and you're a quick jaunt to the Old Mill trail. And Crux a half mile walk as well! There's a beautiful shaded yard that's great for sitting out and playing with your kid(s), situated in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood despite its central location. The house is comfortably appointed and great for a short or longer term stay. Highly recommended!

The house was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere in Bend and best of all we were only a short block away from Jackson Corner - great breakfast spot. The owners provided a thorough guide to the town and a nice welcome when we arrive. (It was hot so they had the AC running for us!). The accommodations were exactly as advertised. Thank you.

We came up here to see the eclipse and fell in love with Bend. Our friends, who live in Portland 20 plus years ago, joined us and we picked up our friendship right where it left off. Great hikes, strolls, beer, and dining.

This is a great home for families with plenty of space to spread out or come together. If you have toddlers, bring a baby gate as the basement steps are quite steep. The backyard is large and fenced in. The home is perfectly located within walking distance to everything (groceries, breweries, coffee shops, downtown, river, Old Mill District). I can't think of any negatives. Great spot that we will rent again someday.

Owners did a great job communicating and emailed to make sure everything was up to spec. Favorite part is the back yard. Had 30 minutes to relax and fell aspleep in one of the chairs. This was the perfect location for a short getaway to Bend. We could walk all over town and we earned our Ale Trail awards. The house was so comfortable for our stay we were completely happy with everything. We drove to our hikes and it was easy since the main streets are very close. We will be back to Bend and this will be our first choice of where to stay.

We got really lucky on finding this little gem. It has everything you can possibly need for a summer stay in Bend. We had access to bikes, jacuzzi, BBQ and a book of all the Resturants and activities
to do in Bend. It is perfect for a family of 5 or 2 small familes .

I have stayed in many vacation rentals and this is the best managed that I have ever experienced. There were so many extra touches, including bicycles with helmets, an empty growler, truffles, etc. The property managers definitely know how to make people feel cozy. The newly remodeled downstairs is awesome! It includes a large living area with a foosball table. Finally, the location is fantastic. I will definitely stay here again.

The location in Bend is perfect for exploring the town on foot or by bicycle. The house is clean, basic and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this house to couples or friends looking for a place to hang out in Bend. The hot tub and bicycles fit the Bend lifestyle. The only drawback to this property is the low threshold to the bathroom for anyone taller than 6'2".

We had had a wonderful week in Bend. Your home is welcoming and comfortable and the location is wonderful! We love this house. It feels like home away from home. It's so clean and comfortable and so thoughtfully put together. This is our first time in Bend and we love it. It reminds us of Berkeley, where we live, but with a lot less traffic! We'll be back and would love to stay here again.

We so hate to leave. If we could move our daughter, son-in-law, and new granddaughter here, we would seriously consider moving here, with our son 3 hours away in Portland. Bend seems to offer everything and we took advantage of everything we could in our two short days, including buying DUCKS for the Duck race. Sure hope we win!! The Bungalow is charming, clean, and perfectly equipped. Thank you for making our stay so delightful. Speaking of ducking...our tall guys had to remember that when using the restroom. LOL

We had an awesome time in Bend! Your little house is the very BEST location ever! We walked everywhere to the Art Fair at Old Mill and of course Downtown! Great restaurants and cozier shops so near by! We spent a lot of time on the front porch for "Happy Hour" with local friends. Sure hope to return! Thank you so much! Go Packers and Badgers!

Thank you so much for letting us use your wonderful home. We had an awesome few days here and wish we could've stayed longer. We enjoyed using the bikes to explore Bend, walking along the beautiful river and floating down it. We loved exploring the Cascade Lakes Scenic byway. We hiked around Todd Lake and Devil's Lake (both of them were beautiful). Visited sparks lake which was slightly low this year and went for a swim and had lunch at Elk Lake. We also took the chairlift up Mount Bachelor which had amazing views. We loved everything we ate including La Magie, Sparrow, 10 Barrels and of course Jackson's Corner. All the locals were very friendly and if you ever need info on activities to do in Bend Visit Bend has very helpful employees. We loved swimming in the hot tub, playing croquet and playing cards. We hope to return soon!

What a perfect home base for our second visit to Bend! It was a wonderful to come home after a day of adventures and relax on the porch or in the hot tub. Of course the location can't be beat and we loved stopping in at Jackson's Corner for a coffee, beer or meal, so convenient! Thank you for providing everything everything we might need so that we could focus on fun and relaxing. Bend is truly a special place and we'll be back! P.S. Stand Up Paddle Bend really took care of us on our first SUP adventure - we recommend them to future guests!

Great location - able to walk to great restaurants, breweries, shopping and coffee shops. Jackson's Corner is a great restaurant & so great to have is just down the street. Bend is a great place, so walkable. Appreciate all the amenities here at the house - grill, bikes, toiletries.

Thank you for the wonderful stay at this cute house. The location was just perfect & it was easy to get places from here. We loved having the bikes & rode them all over town. We drove as little as possible!! We enjoyed paddle boarding & tubing on the river too!! Bend has great coffee, restaurants, ciders & we tried to sample as many as we could! The people who live in Bend are some of the friendliest in the world. We will be back to stay in this bungalow, hoping sooner than later. Diana's recommendations for massage were excellent & much enjoyed. We will miss Bend until the next trip back. P.S. we were here for our annual sisters trip & we are so glad we chose Bend!!

We came to Bend for the Phish shows at Les Schwab Ampitheatre. The house was perfect. Comfortable and in a perfect location. Bend is a great place. We hope to be back one day and we'll think about staying Bernhard Justice house in the future. What memories!

We love Bend! Our family used Bend, Oregon as our meeting point...one from Seattle, WA, two from Colorado and two from San Jose, CA. Thank you for this awesome place to relax, explore and have fun! We loved the location and walked or biked all around town. We can't wait to visit again! Les Schwab Amphitheater was a great time and so close!

We had a fabulous time here at "Stone's Throw". Such an appropriate name for a well placed stay. Riding bikes around to the brewery's and Old Mill was the perfect way around town. Walking distance tot he kayak shack to paddle the river was a blast! We celebrated our daughter's birthday, her engagement to a great guy & our 30th wedding anniversary in style. Dinner at Anthony's topped off our stay! Delicious! Thanks so much for such an awesome home away from home. We will be back!

We had an amazing time here in Bend! The Bungalow was perfect and we loved relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of exploring. We completed the Bend Ale Trail and earned our Sili pint glasses! We did the Brew Bus Tour and tour at Deschutes Brewery twice! Did you know you can show up once a day for four free tastings of beer? We now do! Thank you for a great stay! We have officially fallen in love with Bend!

June 3-10, 2015 We had a wonderful stay at this bungalow. The week went by so fast! We wish we had more time. The house is in a great location, very charming. Bend is a great city to be about in...walking, hiking, biking, eating, floating.

We had a great Annual girls weekend away. One of us from Baker City, OR and three from Portland, OR area. Such a wonderful home and great location to everything. We laughed, told stories and caught up on the happening in our lives while here. Thanks for a great stay in such a "The BCSW gang"

What a relaxing home! We really needed some down time and took advantage of it. Weather was ever changing, but had a great drive around Cascade scenic lakes. Loved seeing all the pelicans on Crane Crairie Reservoir and celebrated our 32 year anniversary. The house had everything we needed and having Jackson Corner was a bonus.

"The Sister's Weekend." We enjoyed your homey bungalow! We walked - walked - walked everywhere. We LOVED Jackson's Corner ambiance & food. This location was perfect. We joined in First Friday wine & art, trip to Sisters and hiking. Also hiking along the Deschutes river and picnic lunch from Plankers (an awesome deli)!
