Location was excellent with many walkable breweries and restaurants. Large amount of space in the home and the back yard and front porch were both a treat. Would definitely stay here again on future trips to Bend.
Ideal locations for any activity in downtown Bend, all within walking distance. Old house with lots of charm!
Thanks to A Stones Throw Bungalow for making our stay in Bend! The location was perfect for us. We were here for a wedding at Skyline Lodge. Beautiful area for a destination wedding. Weather was perfect and the smoke wasn't bad. Being close to town was a plus! Didn't get a chance to use the hot tub or hike but the accommodations here great! Thank you again!
Bungalow served our purposes. Close to town and eateries. Considerable street traffic beside house. Place was clean, good amenities for the younger set, I.e. bikes, bar b que, hot tub basement rec room we did not utilize.
This was an awesome landing pad for our 2 small families with school aged kids. Walkable/bikeable to everything, well stocked, very comfortable and managers were super responsive. Will definitely try to book this home in the future!
Our family of five stayed at this property. The location is great and we walked or biked all around the neighborhood. The house has everything you could need and more! We especially enjoyed the bikes and hot tub!
The house is wonderful and in a great location - walking distance to many bars and restaurants! We did have some trouble checking-in when we first got there because the dead bolt had accidentally been locked, but it was promptly resolved as soon as I called the property number. Would definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Bend!
We had a lovely time staying here. The location is amazing and we loved the morning hot tub sessions, and late night foosball games.
Awesome host and location! Thank you! You were a wonderful host and your place was a perfect location.
Easy renting, great service. They checked in with us during the visit to make sure all was good. The location is great, in good weather you can walk all over. The only issue is if you are sensitive to road noise, you may need some white noise for sleeping. Otherwise it was great
Great place to stay! So close to downtown and all the breweries and restaurants. Very clean space and felt totally comfortable with all the COVID restrictions. Highly recommend!
Our family is grateful for this wonderful house to stay in to enjoy the holiday! Love the location and the snow! Warm and cozy place to be!
We loved our stay here! So many thoughtful touches and we can walk to some of our favorite breweries, restaurants, and cafes. Very clean and comfortable. We are already talking about coming to stay here again!
This home is fantastic! It’s cute, (so cute!) location is beyond perfect, (you can walk to Old Mill and downtown within 5 minutes) everything was spotless, the layout of the home is great for 5ppl, (and kids!) and it was safe. Bend is clean, everyone was really friendly and nice and this home made our trip that much better. The ladies did a great job of providing recs and suggestions in the little binder.... this was a great touch. Thank you for allowing us to live in this adorable historical home for 4 days. It was perfect for our family of five. (Girls are 1.5 and 4.5 year olds) See ya next time :0)
The property is so clean and wonderful taken care of! Great attention to detail 🙂 We had some great mountain biking Phil's Trail and of course enjoyed all the great brew pubs! Even took in Robert Plant concert from across the river. We will be back Bend!
Lovely home in a great location.
This house is in such a great location. The backyard is a lovely place to hang out. Don’t miss Jackson’s down the street - amazing food!
We had a great time and loved the location. It was great to be close to restaurants after a long days hike. We thought the extra amenities were great.
Wonderful week in town for a horse show. House was perfect! Great location, clean, and well stocked! We'll be back!
Wonderful house, very well maintained, charming furnishings. Excellent QA. Very friendly cleaners. Loved the location and amenities, just didn’t like the high service & cleaning fees which equates to one full nights charge (just shy of 300 usd)
Fantastic location and hosts. If you want to be able to bike and walk to the river and to downtown, this is a great place to stay. Front porch is fantastic for morning coffee. Cruiser bikes are a big plus. Kitchen is well appointed. Easy check in and out. Thank you!
We had a wonderful time at this house! The backyard & hot tub were amazing. Beds were comfy, and the kitchen was well stocked! Bend and the surrounding areas are beautiful. Thank you!
Hiking, Beer, Food! Great time in Bend at a great house!
Perfect location for a visit to Bend. Walking distance to everything you need. Beautiful house and a great hot tub for the cool evenings.
Perfect place for our family to stay! Being able to walk everywhere gave us more time together (thankfully the weather was gorgeous). We truly enjoyed the hot tub, the open areas, and having mirrors in every room. We will spread the word of this beautiful place!
Lovely house, lovely location, lovely town. Would love to come back! We're cycling from Eugene on to Crater Lake and Klamath Falls. Needed the rest, washer and dryer, and the tv for the French Open!
This home was in the perfect location. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. It is spacious enough for everyone in our group to have their own space. There are mirrors in every room, a small but practical touch!
A stylish house with both common areas and private sleeping areas. Nice back yard, side driveway, close to town and restaurants. Attention to detail and prompt reply to my call. Loved it.
Great weekend visiting family and wedding planning. Great location and house! We are looking forward to returning for a full week in October!
Thank you for sharing your home with us. You really thought of everything. We rode the bikes all over town and the hot tub was the perfect end to our long days. We will be back for sure. Thank you again!
I stayed with 5 other friends, and it was a perfect home for us while in Bend! There were a ton of walkable restaurants, bars, and of course breweries, and you can get to the river in about 5 minutes. The home had everything we needed and more - the backyard and hot tub were a huge plus! I would definitely stay here again while visiting Bend.
Great location! Clean and spacious! Perfect place for our family to stay and explore from!
Thanks for a lovely, warm place to stay while we skied and enjoyed all that Bend has to offer. We'll be back. The kids said they loved the foosball table and the hot tub.
Great property, perfect location! It had everything we needed, would definitely stay here again. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hey, what a perfect spot! Loved the exposed raw timbers in the basement and the pine wood floors upstairs. Has the charm of what you expect Bend would have been like years ago, with all the updates that make the home comfortable. Very tastefully decorated.
Thanks for an amazing weekend. Our 4 kids loved the house and having the basement to themselves 🙂 We loved how close we were to downtown. This was a great place to spend our early christmas! Thanks.
We had a wonderful weekend getaway from Portland. The festive bungalow is in the perfect location. We hope to come back soon!
We had a wonderful weekend getaway from Portland. The festive bungalow was in the perfect location. We hope to come back soon.
Another great find in Bend. This home is in a great location for walking everywhere. Clean & tidy. The ghost made it more memorable.
What a wonderful surprise this home was! I've been burned by bad Airbnbs in the recent past, so approached this stay with some caution. But that was unnecessary because this home far exceeded my expectations. Top of the list is its ideal location: close to breweries, bakeries, coffee shops, and more, it's also merely a 7-ish minute walk to downtown Bend, which meant we rarely needed the car and were able to enjoy the sunshine. The hot tub was a lovely added feature, providing warmth and relaxation during the cold fall nights. And it was in perfect condition--clean and operational--just like the rest of the home! We had plenty of pillows, blankets, shampoo/conditioner, soap, even Kleenex! As an older, historic home, we wondered (after hearing some strange noises) if the home was haunted, and jokingly began greeting "Rupert" upon arrival after each day's excursions. 😉 On a more serious note, the welcome book with clear instructions, helpful information, and recommendations on places to go was a nice touch. All Airbnb hosts could learn a thing or three from this lovely example of how to do vacation rentals right!
We had a great time in your lovely home! Wonderfully located, well-appointed ~ this is one of the best homes we've rented. Love Bend and have created some long-lasting memories here.
This Airbnb was everything we needed for our time in Bend. Perfect location, good amenities and sparkling clean! Looking forward to come back to Bend.
Had a great stay at the bungalow. Close to everything. Hot tub was a plus after a day of hiking around Smith Rock and Lava Butte. Comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood. No complaints here. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
Our stay at the Bernhard Justice Bungalow was awesome! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and we loved the location. The house was stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Bend. Thank you!
We had a great time here in Bend. Loved the house and a perfect location. We came from Payullup.
Great home and even better location! Our stay at the Bernhard Justice Bungalow was awesome! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and we loved the location. The house was stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Bend. Thank you!
Great stay! We had a great stay at the Bernhard Justice house. It was clean, comfortable and the location ideal. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
We return year after year and love this property. It is quaint and comfortable and you cannot beat the location with restaurants, coffee and shops and downtown a short few blocks away!!!
A Stones Throw does an AMAZING job with all the amenities!!!! We could tell they want your stay to be the best possible!!! If you like a rustic home full of character, this is the place for you!!! Extremely close to everything!! One block away there is two great places to eat!!! One is in an old trailer, but food looked fantastic. Other has brick oven pizzas, great beer/wine selection!!”
Charming, great location, everything we needed and more. Fantastic location, adorable house. We spent a girls get away weekend here and could not have asked for more. Owners were gracious and immediately responded to questions/concerns. Loved the hot tub, outdoor games, everything.
Adorable and homey. The Bernard-Justice House has everything we needed for our short stay. Clean and well appointed. Close to downtown, bikes and hot tub was a plus. I would stay here again for sure!
I have rented many VRBO properties but working with you guys was by far the best. Thank you so much!
Loved the house and our visit to Bend. The house is very spacious with many charming features. The bikes were a bonus in this bike friendly community.
This is a great house. It is right between downtown and the Old Mill district about a 10 minute walk in either direction. The management runs the house like a business, very professional and attention to details (like frosted beer classes in the freezer, coffee, a binder of instructions and list of restaurants). It also has a good size back yard with a hot tub. It is a charming old craftsman’s style home. The upstairs has two bedrooms ( king and queen) that share a bathroom. A living area with a working TV and Wi-Fi. Nicely equipped kitchen, laundry and access to the backyard and hot tub. To our surprise there is a full downstairs with a third king bedroom; second bathroom and another living room; and access to the outside. There are bikes in the shed (we didn’t use or did I check them out). I would stay at this place again.
Location, location, location! Had a great stay. Nice and clean. Awesome location. Ate at Jackson's Corner everyday...can't beat a 1-block walk for fabulous food after a day of hiking and for breakfast! Walked to Mill District shopping. We'll be back! Thanks
Thanks for having us here- your hospitality was amazing. Can't wait to come back and float!!!
The home was great for our family skiing vacation! We brought the cold and snow evidently and not only enjoyed it on Bachelor, but really appreciated the hot tub! Size of the place was perfect for our family of 5. Thanks for the hospitality!
Very cozy and less than five minutes walk from town.Everything as expected and clean. Great bonus tv room in the basement, very use able. Only star deducted for the hot tub not being fully private. It is ok to use but a little extra privacy shielding would have been nice.
We have had a great 2.5 days in Bend- too short a stay! The house was very charming and cozy, and in a great location for walking to the river front. We'll return in summer!
We stayed the last week of November, hoping for a central location to the fun parts of Bend and the mountain. This house delivered. We had a five minute walk to the Old Mill district and less of a drive to downtown. The house itself is full of character and charm. It was spacious and fit our family perfectly.
Fantastic bungalow in Old Bend, walking distance to everything! Super comfortable bed! The kitchen has everything you need. I'll stay there again next time I visit Bend!
Hands down the best vacation rental we've found in Bend!
We loved our time here. The Stone's Throw (Bernard Justice) was such a charming house. We loved the character and the walkability to everything! Thanks for a great stay!
This was a perfect home for our family impromptu get together. The managers were easy to work with and made adjustments to meet our family's needs. I would stay here again if I needed to visit Bend again. I highly recommend the Bernhard Justice. It was close to everything that we needed.
Wonderful place to stay in Bend! Everything is within walking distance. Our kid loved this sweet home so much! Thank you!
My family and I stayed here for a weekend for our first trip to Bend, and we loved it! If I could rate the location with more than 5 stars I would, everything is so close by it was refreshing to take a vacation and have very minimal driving. The home was very unique and had everything we needed and more. Absolutely would recommend staying here 🙂
Our stay in Bend was short but sweet. Your place was perfect for our needs! We will be back! Thank you for such lovely accommodations.
We had a great time staying at the bungalow. Perfect location for for walking or biking downtown and to most of Bend's breweries. It was so nice to have the bikes available so we didn't need to worry about bringing our own
Reconnecting family... Took Bend by storm in from this epic location. Grateful for reconnecting with family and great location!
Great location in Bend, centrally located between the Mill Town area and the Downtown area. 10-15 minute walk to either area, or easy bike ride or Uber. Very cozy, clean, older home, with comfortable furniture, firm beds, amenities are on point. Basement entertainment area seems like a great open space for kids. Hot tub, bikes and a growler (to be filled) were bonus!
Great location, bikes were very convenient. So many incredible hikes nearby. Blue Pool about an hour out was the coolest hike. Thanks for the memories.
Although we were only here for a few days, our stay was wonderful. Floating, hiking, swimming, etc. were so enjoyable in a magnificent setting. We shall return.
Lovely Home - so comfortable & well located. Spent the weekend with great friends eating our way through Bend! Thank you!
Location, location, location. Seriously, a visit to Bend could not put you in a better location. It's walkable to basically EVERYTHING. I couldn't imagine a better spot for visiting Bend for a family, in particular. There's Market of Choice for your groceries (walkable), Jackson's Corner literally a block away for easy eating three meals a day, coffee at Jackson's or Palate (also a block away), and you're a quick jaunt to the Old Mill trail. And Crux a half mile walk as well! There's a beautiful shaded yard that's great for sitting out and playing with your kid(s), situated in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood despite its central location. The house is comfortably appointed and great for a short or longer term stay. Highly recommended!
The house was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere in Bend and best of all we were only a short block away from Jackson Corner - great breakfast spot. The owners provided a thorough guide to the town and a nice welcome when we arrive. (It was hot so they had the AC running for us!). The accommodations were exactly as advertised. Thank you.
We came up here to see the eclipse and fell in love with Bend. Our friends, who live in Portland 20 plus years ago, joined us and we picked up our friendship right where it left off. Great hikes, strolls, beer, and dining.
This is a great home for families with plenty of space to spread out or come together. If you have toddlers, bring a baby gate as the basement steps are quite steep. The backyard is large and fenced in. The home is perfectly located within walking distance to everything (groceries, breweries, coffee shops, downtown, river, Old Mill District). I can't think of any negatives. Great spot that we will rent again someday.
The house is clean and comfortable, and it's in a charming neighborhood. We loved sitting on the front porch, and having access to bikes was great. The house is perfectly-located within a very short walk to the river, the Old Mill district, downtown, Jackson's Market and a great grocery store. We would love to stay here again.
We LOVED our stay here. It is the perfect location for going in any direction! The house is great. Our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 kids) were very comfortable. We will be back.
The location is ideal...and the place is most charming! Love the porch! Looking forward to next year!
The location is fantastic! Walking distance to town, Drake Park and numerous shopping, breweries and restaurants. The size of the house is perfect for a family. Nice back yard. All the amenities that one can ask for. Just a great house in a great town!
The BJ Bungalow was the perfect getaway for a girls weekend. The house had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable, and it was walking distance to everything we wanted to do!
Great location- very close to downtown and the Mill District. Lovely home.
Sweet spot! Clean, well done feel at home, great location and neighborhood. House is decorated without the clutter, but everything you need for a home away from home
Great house with a great location. We were in town for a running relay so really just slept in the house. Location was an easy stroll to downtown. Owners did a great job communicating and emailed to make sure everything was up to spec. Favorite part is the back yard. Had 30 minutes to relax and fell aspleep in one of the chairs. Would return without a doubt.
Nice house close to everything. We biked with our toddler and enjoyed the home. The bikes were great.
This place is walking distance to the Old Mill District and coffee shops which is great! The house was fully equipped and so cozy. We loved our stay here.
Great place to stay! Good location, beautiful house, and nice amenities. We had 5 people and there was plenty of room for all of us.
My friends and I had an amazing time at the BJ Bungalow! The location was perfect - quiet, but close enough to downtown and the Old Mill District to walk to whenever we needed. The hosts were very attentive to our questions, the home was clean, and check-in was seamless. Great place to stay when visiting Bend.
Clean, beautiful house! We had a wonderful weekend.
Nicely updated older home in quiet neighborhood. The house is much bigger than it appears, thanks to the downstairs living space that has a big flat screen, comfy couch and Foosball table! The home is next to a main street but the road noise is really not noticeable. The location could not be better because you can walk to the Old Mill, Downtown and the better breweries in town. Will definitely be returning! Thank you!
Great house! Very central location with everything you will ever need in Bend within walking distance or a short bike ride away on the provided bikes. Easy access to the mountain and very close to the river. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a busy day of adventures. Can't say enough about this great classic home in Old Bend!
Beautiful house, great location, our group had an amazing time!
Great accommodation! Very comfortable and wonderful location close to grocery, coffee shops, breweries and restaurants. Easy drive to Mt Bachelor. A great place for families with lots of space given the relatively small size of the home. Hot tub was wonderful and kitchen had everything we needed. Hosts were wonderful-very responsive when we couldn't find a pack n play. Overall, a great house, great location and a helpful management team!
This home was was old charm with a splash of modern, very comfortable and well - equipped. Walking distance to everything. Everything was perfect. We will keep this home at the top of list for our next visit.
A Perfect home for a group of friends and family enjoy together. Close to everything you could need. Cozy, well stocked and comfortable. We look forward to returning soon. Thanks!
So cozy and comfortable! Did not want to leave
Wonderful home that is well appointed and is also centrally located.
This was a great place to stay. The house was very clean and had just about every amenity you could need. It is conveniently located, walking distance to a couple of breweries, shops, and downtown. The hosts were very helpful and easy to get a hold of when I had questions. I highly recommend this rental to anyone that wants to visit Bend.
All in all, amazing place - best AirBnb I've stayed at! Every detail was meticulously and thoughtfully planned out - from the handy laminated binder of house and Bend info, from the framed hot tub instructions, available growler for sampling local brews, to the black makeup towel in the bathroom and dirty job rags under the sink. Look no further, this is your downtown Bend AirBnb of choice!
Really nice spot and in Bend!
This was the perfect location for a short getaway to Bend. We could walk all over town and we earned our Ale Trail awards. The house was so comfortable for our stay we were completely happy with everything. We drove to our hikes and it was easy since the main streets are very close. We will be back to Bend and this will be our first choice of where to stay.
We got really lucky on finding this little gem. It has everything you can possibly need for a summer stay in Bend. We had access to bikes, jacuzzi, BBQ and a book of all the Resturants and activities to do in Bend. It is perfect for a family of 5 or 2 small familes . Hope you can get the opportunity to enjoy this fabulous home.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely bungalow in downtown Bend. Neat, clean, cozy and great location! I will absolutely be staying here again!
Hosts were very communicative and welcoming. The home felt like a home-away-from-home. It was perfect for our family of adults and teens (teens had the lower level to themselves). The bikes were appreciated so much more than we anticipated. We loved riding the pathways along the river. A quick walk into town or to Market of Choice. A great central location! Very clean and cozy bedding! Thank you for a perfect family getaway. We WILL be back
Great Location. Charming house and setting Love to sit on the farmers porch and watch the world go by at this delightful property! This was our third time renting. We were surprised to come back and see that they had completely renovated the daylight basement adding an additional bedroom and bathroom and fun amenities. We will go back!
My girlfriends and I rented the BJ Bungalow for a long weekend and we had a lovely time. The house was very tidy and in an exceptional location (within walking distance of almost everything we did on our trip). The hot tub was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again.
“Amazing place in a great location. Perfect place to stay in bend - highly recommended! Would definitely stay again. ”
I have stayed in many vacation rentals and this is the best managed that I have ever experienced. There were so many extra touches, including bicycles with helmets, an empty growler, truffles, etc. The property managers definitely know how to make people feel cozy. The newly remodeled downstairs is awesome! It includes a large living area with a foosball table. Finally, the location is fantastic. I will definitely stay here again. “Our stay at the Bernhard Justice Bungalow was amazing! The hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided us with thorough instructions for accessing the house and its amenities. The home was clean and inviting and exceptionally well furnished. The location was amazing as well--very centrally located. Although we did not use the bicycles, the fact that they are available is awesome and super convenient. I can't say enough good things about this place. I want to stay here every time I travel to Bend. 10/10 would hands down stay again and again. Thanks so much” What Nicholas loved about your listing: “The hot tub, the grill, the comfortable furniture, a well stocked kitchen, bikes, a nice porch, foosball table, and a growler!”
“My friends and I had a wonderful time at BJ Bungalow! It's is a spacious and clean home in a convenient location. The home had plenty of room for the 5 of us. We were able to walk to restaurants and to the stores downtown. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Bend.”
A Stone's Throw Bungalow was just what we needed for the Bend Marathon Weekend. The home is very inviting and had everything we wanted, not to mention the beds were very, very comfortable. Diana, Chris, and Marta provided detailed recommendations of things to do, places to eat, and breweries to try in the area. We also got good use out of the hot tub both before and after the race. We definitely look forward to coming back next year and hopefully staying here again.
“This was my first rental with Airbnb, and it was perfect. The house is just as described, in a great Bend location. Everything was clean, well maintained, and worked well. It was nice to have beds on both floors. The back yard and downstairs were both great hangouts. Very smooth rental transaction. My only problem was hitting my head on the bathroom doorway and basement ceiling. To be fair, I am fairly tall, six foot five. I highly recommend the nearby market "Jackson's Corner", for draft beer, wholesome food, and great coffee. Its only a block away and has a great vibe.” Beaverton, Oregon
“A Stone's Throw was an absolutely fantastic home. It was located within walking distance to downtown, the mill district, the river...basically everywhere you would want to explore while in Bend. The house was also very well setup, and provided a lot of useful information (maps, distances and reviews to restaurants, recommendations for hikes, biking, etc.). There were multiple times during our stay members of our party commented on how well organized the house was, and how helpful the hosts were. I would definitely recommend this house to anybody!”
This was an excellent experience--the hosts thought of every possible detail to make our trip amazing. *Location is excellent* Home is adorable *Management is top notch. Thanks again for making our trip amazing! Everything was well thought out and amazing--thanks!
The location in Bend is perfect for exploring the town on foot or by bicycle. The house is clean, basic and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this house to couples or friends looking for a place to hang out in Bend. The hot tub and bicycles fit the Bend lifestyle. The only drawback to this property is the low threshold to the bathroom for anyone taller than 6'2".
Great little house! We love the old world charm. Location is great, close to downtown. Skiing at Bachelor was awesome!
We had a great time in Bend! The house is well appointed and organized. Check in/Check out was seamless and location was ideal for exploring the city. I'd certainly recommend the place to friends! Thanks for hosting us during Zwickelmania; what a great trip!
We had a lovely time here at the house, perfect size for us and the 3 kids (age 6, 7, 10), very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Some lovely coffee shops very close by and easy walks to great restaurants, perfect location.
This location couldn't be better! We easily found restaurants, shopping and breweries galore. The place was clean, comfortable and the hosts were exceptionally easy to work with. The location, hot tub, bikes and kitchen were great! Prompt replies and all the info provided to help us get settled in.
Thank you so much for having such an amazing home! Bend is an incredible town & I will be back!
The Bungalow was gorgeous and comfortable. It was perfect for our first trip to Bend with nearly everything in walking distance. Comfortable beds and plenty of room for all of our guests. The hot tub was a wonderful touch and we really appreciated having a full kitchen. The location was perfect for getting to Downtown. We would have loved to have met you! Thank you for the wonderful service!
We arrived just before the snow and watched almost 12" fall on Monday for a white Thanksgiving with our Bend friends. Whether XC skiing in Sisters, snowshoeing, downhill skiing on opening day at Bachelor, or walking around town, the Bungalow was a perfect place to call home. Thank you!
Fabulous house, fabulous town. Wish we were staying longer!
Dirksen Derby was a blast! House was cozy & comfy! Thanks for the amazing stay! Bellingham loves Bend!
What a lovely and cozy place! We couldn't have asked for a better house to spend our time in Bend. We absolutely loved the fireplace, hot tub, space and how well located it is. We hope to come back!
The owner Paul and his daughter allowed my daughter, Annie and me to come stay with them for the weekend. We had a wonderful time enjoying the cute quaint bungalow, and the many amenities surrounding Bend. The house is in the perfect spot with lots to do. We greatly appreciate your hospitality and the time we had here. Thank you for everything.
I stayed with my friend Cathren and her Dad. We went ice skating and sledding, it was fun!
Our daughter and family wanted to look at Bend as a possible place to move to. Debby and I came along for the ride. We have rented many homes over many years for vacations, and have never been disappointed. This place was no exception. The location was perfect for our needs, and the homey feeling was just what we needed, especially with a 2 1/2 year grandson and an 8 month old granddaughter. Thank you for helping make our 4+ days in Bend really great.
We are friends and across the street neighbors from Portland. We came here to celebrate my 33rd birthday with hiking and the Ale Trail. This house was the perfect place for us! Walking distance to almost everywhere and just the right spot to relax at the end of the day. I loved sitting by the fire to read some Terry Patchett, & Steph and I did a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle by the window one afternoon. Thanks for a great birthday trip!
WE GOT MARRIED!! Thank you for providing the perfect place to stay for our wedding week!! We love everything about this home!! And we can't wait to come back next year.
We had had a wonderful week in Bend. Your home is welcoming and comfortable and the location is wonderful! We love the outdoors so spent most of our stay hiking (Crater Lake, McKenzie River, Tumalo Mountain, Metoliouis River and Newberry National Monument). When we returned from our adventures, we enjoyed walking to dinner and even cooked a couple times here (kitchen is well stocked - thank you). We also enjoyed riding the bikes and always love walking the Dechutes River Trail. Thank you for sharing your home.
We all celebrated anniversaries and birthdays and enjoyed every minute of beautiful Bend. Only used the car (1) once for connecting with the craft brew scene out of downtown. We walked miles and miles exploring. The hot tub came in handy to rest our legs... Thank you for sharing your home with us. On our way to Mt. Hood, Hood River, C.R. Gorge, then McMenamins in Troutdale for the night. Soon to be back in Ohio & Chicago : ( Thanks Again!
We loved your home and all the welcoming details. Our cars never moved as we could walk and bike everywhere. The hot tub provided an awesome ending to an active day. Thanks for sharing : )
We love this house. It feels like home away from home. It's so clean and comfortable and so thoughtfully put together. This is our first time in Bend and we love it. It reminds us of Berkeley, where we live, but with a lot less traffic! We'll be back and would love to stay here again.
We so hate to leave. If we could move our daughter, son-in-law, and new granddaughter here, we would seriously consider moving here, with our son 3 hours away in Portland. Bend seems to offer everything and we took advantage of everything we could in our two short days, including buying DUCKS for the Duck race. Sure hope we win!! The Bungalow is charming, clean, and perfectly equipped. Thank you for making our stay so delightful. Speaking of ducking...our tall guys had to remember that when using the restroom. LOL
Thank you so much for lending us your lovely home! We enjoyed the area and loved spending time at the house too. Your attention to detail was not lost on us - everything was perfect!
We had an awesome time in Bend! Your little house is the very BEST location ever! We walked everywhere to the Art Fair at Old Mill and of course Downtown! Great restaurants and cozier shops so near by! We spent a lot of time on the front porch for "Happy Hour" with local friends. Sure hope to return! Thank you so much! Go Packers and Badgers!
Thank you so much for letting us use your wonderful home. We had an awesome few days here and wish we could've stayed longer. We enjoyed using the bikes to explore Bend, walking along the beautiful river and floating down it. We loved exploring the Cascade Lakes Scenic byway. We hiked around Todd Lake and Devil's Lake (both of them were beautiful). Visited sparks lake which was slightly low this year and went for a swim and had lunch at Elk Lake. We also took the chairlift up Mount Bachelor which had amazing views. We loved everything we ate including La Magie, Sparrow, 10 Barrels and of course Jackson's Corner. All the locals were very friendly and if you ever need info on activities to do in Bend Visit Bend has very helpful employees. We loved swimming in the hot tub, playing croquet and playing cards. We hope to return soon! Go BILLS! P.S. Don't miss the Ocean Roll at Sparrow Bakery. Also sunset at Crux and patio at night at 10 Barrel were lovely.
What a perfect home base for our second visit to Bend! It was a wonderful to come home after a day of adventures and relax on the porch or in the hot tub. Of course the location can't be beat and we loved stopping in at Jackson's Corner for a coffee, beer or meal, so convenient! Thank you for providing everything everything we might need so that we could focus on fun and relaxing. Bend is truly a special place and we'll be back! P.S. Stand Up Paddle Bend really took care of us on our first SUP adventure - we recommend them to future guests!
Great location - able to walk to great restaurants, breweries, shopping and coffee shops. Jackson's Corner is a great restaurant & so great to have is just down the street. Bend is a great place, so walkable. Appreciate all the amenities here at the house - grill, bikes, toiletries.
Thank you for the wonderful stay at this cute house. The location was just perfect & it was easy to get places from here. We loved having the bikes & rode them all over town. We drove as little as possible!! We enjoyed paddle boarding & tubing on the river too!! Bend has great coffee, restaurants, ciders & we tried to sample as many as we could! The people who live in Bend are some of the friendliest in the world. We will be back to stay in this bungalow, hoping sooner than later. Diana's recommendations for massage were excellent & much enjoyed. We will miss Bend until the next trip back. P.S. we were here for our annual sisters trip & we are so glad we chose Bend!!
We came to Bend for the Phish shows at Les Schwab Ampitheatre. The house was perfect. Comfortable and in a perfect location. Bend is a great place. We hope to be back one day and we'll think about staying Bernhard Justice house in the future. What memories!
We had a wonderful stay in Bend-the house was perfect for our family of four1 Our highlights include Paulina's Plunge, floating the river, and the 4th of July Pet Parade. The bikes were terrific - we explored all of Bend on them! Thank you for a wonderful stay. The Mcgouagles Ed, Sartra, Patrick, Jack San Jose, CA
Fantastic! We love the house. It was nice to have a home away from home...and one so close to everything. We are looking forward to returning to Bend to do all the things we didin't get to this trip. We plan on staying here too.
Thank you for having us at your beautiful home! It was so perfect for our trip. Loved the hot tub too! Can't wait to come back!
We love Bend! Our family used Bend, Oregon as our meeting point...one from Seattle, WA, two from Colorado and two from San Jose, CA. Thank you for this awesome place to relax, explore and have fun! We loved the location and walked or biked all around town. We can't wait to visit again! Les Schwab Amphitheater was a great time and so close!
We had a fabulous time here at "Stone's Throw". Such an appropriate name for a well placed stay. Riding bikes around to the brewery's and Old Mill was the perfect way around town. Walking distance tot he kayak shack to paddle the river was a blast! We celebrated our daughter's birthday, her engagement to a great guy & our 30th wedding anniversary in style. Dinner at Anthony's topped off our stay! Delicious! Thanks so much for such an awesome home away from home. We will be back!
We had an amazing time here in Bend! The Bungalow was perfect and we loved relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of exploring. We completed the Bend Ale Trail and earned our Sili pint glasses! We did the Brew Bus Tour and tour at Deschutes Brewery twice! Did you know you can show up once a day for four free tastings of beer? We now do! Thank you for a great stay! We have officially fallen in love with Bend!
June 3-10, 2015 We had a wonderful stay at this bungalow. The week went by so fast! We wish we had more time. The house is in a great location, very charming. Bend is a great city to be about in...walking, hiking, biking, eating, floating.
We had a great Annual girls weekend away. One of us from Baker City, OR and three from Portland, OR area. Such a wonderful home and great location to everything. We laughed, told stories and caught up on the happening in our lives while here. Thanks for a great stay in such a "The BCSW gang"
Wonderful town with lots to do, see and eat! Great bike ride to Sunriver and back. Hoping to return to Bend in September. Loved the house and the hot tub!
Thanks for the lovely stay in this lovely home. Raining but wonderful. Especially the hot tub. Couldn't have asked for more or a better place to chill with family.
Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home. It was in a great location and helped with a perfect intro to Bend. We didn't place as high as we'd hoped in PPP, but there's always next year.
What a relaxing home! We really needed some down time and took advantage of it. Weather was ever changing, but had a great drive around Cascade scenic lakes. Loved seeing all the pelicans on Crane Crairie Reservoir and celebrated our 32 year anniversary. The house had everything we needed and having Jackson Corner was a bonus.
"The Sister's Weekend." We enjoyed your homey bungalow! We walked - walked - walked everywhere. We LOVED Jackson's Corner ambiance & food. This location was perfect. We joined in First Friday wine & art, trip to Sisters and hiking. Also hiking along the Deschutes river and picnic lunch from Plankers (an awesome deli)!
Rhonda Figone. 4/27 to 4/30 What a great house! Such a great location for everything. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Staying in this adorable cottage was a highlight on our short but restful trip... This is our first break in four years, after having purchased our ranch... Bend is just wonderful, and this bungalow an absolute jewel. It was clearly and anchor ~ home away from home! Thank you so much for creating this amazing opportunity for us and others!
We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect and we really enjoyed the charm of the house and neighborhood. So much to see and do - a future visit is a must!
We could not have been happier with the location of this charming cottage. It was perfection! Thank you for your thoughtful toucheds (the sheets/bedding were heavenly) which made this our home away from home. We shall return! Thanks for everything!
We had a wonderful stay at A Stone's Throw Bungalow. What an amazing, central location! We had a wonderful time walking and biking to the breweries, downtown and the river. The house was very cute and comfortable, the chairs on the deck were such a nice addition - a great place to sit and enjoy a coffee from the cafe down the street. Thank you so much for being in touch regularly before and during our stay.
Thank you so much! We had a wonderful trip to Bend (my first trip!) and felt so at home here at the Bernhard Justice Bungalow. Perfect for our family of 4 and our boys (4 and 2) had a blast. Amazing food, parks and activities. We cannot wait to come back. Thank you!
By far the best vacation rental in Bend, OR! Not only is it clean, cute and convenient but the owners are absolutely lovely people. I felt instantly at home, welcomed and ready to relax. Thank you so much for the wonderful weekend. Can't wait for the next one!
Outstanding girls weekend at your adorable and comfortable Bungalow. So close to amazing food and fun activities (like SUP). Thank you for an incredible visit and looking forward to next time!
We so enjoyed our stay here-could not have been more welcoming and convenient-we walked everywhere! Don't miss Jackson's Corner just down the street. Looking forward to returning! Great property and I agree with all the comments. If you are here on a first Friday evening, don't miss "First Friday Art Walk" in downtown. Lots of activities!
What a spectacular place to stay for the long weekend and to bring in a new decade (the 30's!). We hiked, we floated, we hike, we went running on trails, we ate and drank in all of the wonderment of Bend - our new hopeful place to spend many more adventures. Thanks for much for having!
Wonderful getaway with friends! We went white water rafting down the 'Big Eddy', caving in Skeleton Cave, canoeing at Sparks Lake and floated in the river...We stay at other VRBO properties many times throughout the year and this one did not disappoint. Already are planning on coming back to camp & also try staying at Elks Lodge. When in town, the Bernhard Justice house will be our go-to place!
Such a lovely, comfortable house! It's a great option to feel at home while in Bend, and the location cannot be beat! We really enjoyed staying here with Debbie, Brook, Dane and Justin. Very comfortable home and close to everything. Thank you!
What a great place! We barbecued, we hot tubbed, we biked. It took us a little while to figure out where everything is in the house. It's so well stocked and tidy. The location can't be beat, close enough to everything that we can walk, but far enough that it's reasonably quiet. We rode our bikes to Farewell Bend Park with the kids (both age 7) and we walked to the Jack Johnson show at Les Schwab Amphitheater. After checkout this afternoon, we plan to go float the river on something! Tubes, kayaks or SUP...Looking forward to my next trip out!
A very bro-mantic weekend of floating the river, braving the brewfest and biking the many neighborhoods with the guys. No better location in Bend, combined with a very comfy bungalow rich in history and character. Three blocks from everything! I find it very pleasing. A huge thanks to the gracious owner for an epic weekend- Mike Had a fantastic time in Bend! Appreciate the great house and the hospitality. You have the best canoe rack I have every seen - Rick I suppose I could have exercised more (or at all) and ate more healthfully. That being said, I very much enjoyed bike riding around town, river floating, hot tubbing and local restaurants - Patrick
The Black family was here. We visited family here in Bend and will be off on a camping adventure later this week near Lava Lake. We love Bend & staying in the Bungalow was an awesome experience. I love the location...so close to downtown. The Bungalow is a beautiful home with lots of character. Thank you for the comfortable beds! We would love to come back here for our next visit to Bend!
The bungalow was perfect for our stay here in Bend! We enjoyed all the amenities-especially the extra bikes! The location was perfect for this active family of 4! My son's U10 soccer team played up a year in the Bend Tourney (U11 Gold) and came in 2nd place! We also enjoyed a rafting trip down the "Big Eddy" and the lava caves! The SHARC at Sunriver was also great for the kids to unwind! Looking forward to our next visit! Note from Abby (age 7): I love the bed, I like the TV. I like the movie they were good movies. I like the hot tub it is warm. The games are good, they are so cool. Note from Eli (age 9): I loved the house because the beds were squishy. I also loved the chairs on the front deck. There so relaxing. And the extra bikes were handy for the parents.
We stayed for four nights and we all enjoyed the house so much. It was centrally located for all the breweries and Jackson's Corner was awesome too. The hot tub after a day of drinking and shopping was perfect. The rooms were very cozy and sitting on the front porch to people watch was really nice. Thanks for a great place to call home for a few days!
Great house, awesome hot tub, and having bikes was perfect. We celebrated our one year anniversary here and loved it. Thanks so much!
This home is so cozy and quaint - not to mention perfectly located between the Old Mill, Downtown, the river and the mountain view. Incredible. I have loved every minute of it! Thank you Hibbard Family!
Five minute walk to the Mill District and Downtown. A block from Jackson's Corner. Well appointed in the kitchen. It was our home away from home for a week. The photos show it all accurately from Hot Tub to Fireplace and linens. Spotlessly clean. Bikes supplied though we walked everywhere. We will be back!
