Was a wonderful location, spacious and well organized and thought out. Kitchen had all the right tools which was well organized. Plenty of towels. Great places to eat within walking distance. Easy short drive to Mt Bachelor to ski.

We had a lovely weekend! The house was perfect for our family of 4, super comfortable and the location really can’t be beat. We have stayed at several different rentals by A Stone’s Throw Bungalows around Bend and they never disappoint. Always very well-stocked, and responsive when needed. We’ll absolutely be back!

By and large the best AirBnB we’ve ever stayed at. Decently priced in the off season, beautiful views from the backyard, short walk from downtown, cozy and comfy inside. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Bend - we will be booking this place the next time we’re back in town.

This probably the most perfect bend house that exists. River access from your back yard, hot tub, location is walkable to everything!

Appliances and furniture are also top notch!

My only complaint is that the shower heads are not very good.

Beautiful spot. Incredible river view + access. We floated the deschutes twice and each time just hopped out of the river onto the private dock and then warmed up in the hot tub. Lovely back porch and yard made for excellent morning and evening breakfast and dinner spots. AC worked well during the consistently 85+ weather. 2 good size bedrooms and and semi-private room with a pull-out couch comfortably accommodated 6 adults and 3 dogs. Highly recommend.

Peaceful, beautiful location with amazing view of the river.

This two bedroom cottage worked perfectly for my wife, myself and my daughter. Plenty of room and all the amenities one could ask for (except for kayaks). The location is perfect as it is on the river, which is really the prime place to stay while inBend. Everything in the cottage was as described, even the kitchen knives were sharp, a rarity. Beds were comfy and the bathrooms had enough counterspace.
We used the hot tub, but not the barbecue since there are so many good restaurants in Bend. Spent plenty of time on the deck watching the action on the river.

This is a comfy little house in a good, close to town location. It’s dated, but VERY clean. Having a view of the river was super fun, and being able to walk to the riverfront trail at Drake Park was great. Yummy restaurants are close by and we appreciated being able to bring our dog.

The backyard outdoor area wasn’t particularly inviting; the area along the water had a lot of goose poop. This didn’t impact our stay as we were out exploring Bend and not hanging in the backyard. We didn’t use the hot tub.

I want to be fair- the house was fine and being on the river was a nice scenic view and it was a short walk to the park, which if you continued to follow, carried you into downtown, appx .7 miles from downtown. It was a very convenient spot for those that want to walk around town.

We stayed in April so a little chilly and were excited to have the hot tub on site; HOWEVER when we got there it was not in working order (found out later it’s brand new) and had not been notified of this- simply left a letter saying sorry it’s not working. I was very frustrated with this and while Diana did respond and work to get someone out to fix the next day, we were only able to use the spa for 1 of our 3 days- it takes 8-9 hours to get a spa from 46 degrees to an acceptable 100. We were upset to have spent $1.4K for 3 nights and not use the amenity! I asked for $250-300 credit since the spa was the main focus of enjoying the outside during the chilly months, but was only given $100.

Gorgeous location! We saw a mink swimming/walking up the river. Very special. Diana was very communicative and the place was easy to access.

We had an adventurous week in Bend during the recent ice storm but despite the change in plans the house was a lovely place to be stuck. Beautiful, even when the river was frozen over. Nice that there were some walkable restaurant and shops and downtown was a easy drive even when icy.

This place was the perfect location - close to downtown and Mt. Bachelor.

We arrived late in a snow storm - we were so grateful to have the lights on and heater running when we arrived.

The house and linens were clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. We used the BBQ too - it was a Weber and very clean.

The location on the river is stunning. House is just off a main road with food pods and many restaurants/breweries to check out. The only thing I would have liked about it more would be pillow options. I prefer a foam like pillow that is firm versus feather. We definitely want to come back.

We had such a great stay! This location is awesome. Walkable to west Bend but also to downtown. The river access was so fun. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We would absolutely stay again.

Diana was very helpful and communicative. Sent over some information prior to our arrival on the local area attractions and clear instructions on how to access the house. There were instructions inside on all of the systems and check out procedures. It was right on the river and very close to downtown and the park. Wonderful location, wish we had more than two days to spend. Also hot tub was very nice, great view of the river while sitting in the hot tub.

Loved our stay! The location is amazing and easy to get around the city. Despite the house size, our group found it pretty spacious and were delighted there was an extra sofa bed that was not previously mentioned. The pet fee for the property was more than reasonable, and Diana provided blankets to cover the sofas. We really appreciated how thoughtful those touches were.

The only issues we ran into were minor: the living room gets too bright in the morning for anyone sleeping there, so bring an eye mask; and the kitchen only had 2-3 pots and pans, so bring a large pan if you'll be cooking a lot.

We're looking forward to our next visit!

The house has an amazing location on the river, was a lot of fun to sit out on the deck and watch people floating down to the park just a couple hundred yards walk away. The hot tub is very nice, the grill setup is great. Local restaurants and breweries are easy walking distance. And the hosts were very understanding when our plans had to change due to our dog's sudden illness. Overall, I would highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing few days in Bend.

Fantastic location close to downtown and a couple blocks from two breweries, a restaurant, cafe & bagel shop. Beautiful deck and back yard along the river. We brought our dogs and they had a fenced area in back which was great. Fees were high though. We stayed five nights and paid $302.00 in service fees and that was after I asked for a discount and got $100 off. We feel the pet fee should be a deposit rather than a charge. Our dogs left no damage and we picked up after them so this fee seems unjustified. Also, we asked if we could check in one hour early and we’re informed it would be $25.00 extra which seemed like they were nickle & diming us especially since we booked 5 nights. So the cleaning, pet, occupancy fees & taxes were high at over $700 for or stay, something to keep in mind when booking this place.

Our 2nd time staying at the PERFECT PLACE in Bend. We will be back next year.

The pictures do not do this place justice, the view you have to see to believe! The neighbors are friendly and the street is so quiet it’s hard to believe you’re so close to downtown and all the action! We even made some friends floating by in the river, people in bend are so friendly and the food is great too! We will definitely be coming back soon!

Amazing location right on the river and close to tons of restaurants! Super clean and well appointed (huge bottles of shampoo, etc, charging station with every cord imaginable, tons of nice towels).

If you plan to interact with the river just know that you will have to rent tubes or SUP boards (or bring your own). For out of towners renting a car - my tip would be to rent a big enough one so you can transport such things (sadly we did not).

We thoroughly enjoyed the house. It is very comfortable and the view of the river is memorable. Bend is an excellent little town for us. Our extended frailly comes from California, Washington and Colorado. We LOVED the time here in Bend, We have come here 3 times and plan for many more.

What a fantastic and relaxing home base for all your adventures in Bend! We stayed here for the Bend Marathon and the location is perfect- close to the start/finish area, truly walkable to coffee, food trucks, and parks all right there in the neighborhood. The river in the backyard was beautiful with geese, ducks, and even an otter swimming around. The whole area is surprisingly quiet and it’s such a great place to relax.

We went to Smith Roc k and it was almost 5 miles! Th hot tub is amazing an the house is absolutely perfect and beautiful. We loved it here. Loved how everything matched and how close we were to restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was comfortable and well appointed. Very clean! Host communicated with us before and during our visit to make sure we knew what to expect when we arrived and to make sure all was going well. The location is perfect. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the river and our walks into town. We will definitely stay again.

Walking distance to downtown, Drake park, mirror pond. House was clean and comfortable. Hot tub was a nice addition. Loved being on the river. Construction across the river started promptly at 7am. Looked like they were close to being done. Would absolutely stay here again!

This house is in the perfect location to be able to walk anywhere in town and just a block or so from different breweries and the food truck lot. The backyard was picture perfect, and the hot tub worked great! Everything inside was clean and was perfect for our weekend stay. Check in and check out was easy and Diana always responded in a timely manner. 20 out of 10 would recommend this place!

This house is amazing. So beautiful and peaceful and close to everything. You can walk to the grocery store, restaurants, boutique shops, bars and coffee shops, yet the property is pretty quiet and feels secluded. The view is perfect outside and in. The main living room has huge windows to watch the sunrise and sunset. The hot tub was perfect on those cold mornings and evenings. You could drop into the river with your kayak no problem. Everything worked well and the house felt really clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook with. The host was very responsive and kind. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed a whole week in this home. It is well stocked with all the necessities, very comfortable- including the beds, and in a beautiful location. Communication was prompt and complete. It was sparkling clean and felt like a very safe place to stay. We didn't use the TV's but there are comfortable chairs in the living room for night time reading. The hot tub was a plus after a day of skiing- a beautiful place to take in the scene both day and night. We'd stay here again in a minute and hope to.

We wanted a staycation on the river to completely unwind. This was a perfect location. We never needed to leave the house, but if you want to it’s also in a ideal location to walk to downtown, the Old Mill, or hop on the river trail for a walk/run.

We had a fantastic stay at this house! Communication from the hosts was exceptional, they made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, everything was super clean and tidy. The house is situated beautifully on the river, we had ducks and geese passing by and it was all so peaceful. It was an easy walk to downtown and an even easier walk to Galveston shops and restaurant. We will definitely stay here again!

The best thing about our stay was the location. It's close to great restaurants and breweries. Just blocks away! It's a very walkable neighborhood. And the house is right there on the river so every morning we could watch the geese come in and bob up and down to get their breakfast. We came at a perfect time with the fall color, too. It was just gorgeous.

The house was also spotless. Very clean. It felt very safe. The hot tub was great, too.

Here are a few things I would have liked to know before we got there, so maybe this will help you too:

The back yard: it is indeed completely fenced all the way around. We brought our dog and never had to worry about her getting out. I loved that.

The beds: super comfortable for me. We slept in the king bed and it has one of those eggshell-like tops. Very soft and supportive at the same time. My husband had a different experience and found the pillows pretty flat so needed to keep searching the house for good supplements.

Coffee: they provide one small packet that can help you make it through the first morning before you go to the store. I'd recommend bringing your own or stopping at the store before you check in. There's a one-cup French press and a drip maker. We had to curb our coffee drinking because there weren't very many coffee filters. Also, if you are a milk or half-and-half person, be sure to bring that with you, too. A couple of the packets in the fridge had gone sour. If you're a tea drinker, there are a few to pick from (no black teas but a few green and non-caffeine ones).

Leaving: we were asked to strip the beds and put all the linens into bags. We did get a few conflicting messages about starting a load of towels before we left and then not to start any laundry at all. So we stuck with the last message received and hoped it was the way to go.

We had a nice time there but nothing really stood out to make our stay feel welcoming or inviting. The house is a bit dated, as is the furniture and the kitchen. We felt less "hosted" and more "vacation-property managed." There's not really any personality in the place, even the communications read like form letters. It was a bit lackluster for us. But others will find it warm, comfortable, and very well-located.

We loved the house and couldn't get enough of the view! We saw a 12 point buck grazing and napping in the yard across the river for 3 days until people came home. The hot tub was so fabulous and we had a great time watching people float on the river.
Highlight of the trip other than fabulous downtown was our epic bike ride around Crater Lake. 34 Miles and 3800 ft elevation.

This is our second stay at Stones Throw and it was wonderful both times! We love paddle boarding on the river and biking around downtown. Active culture is our favorite restaurant and we ate there everyday. We love it here so much (winter and summer) and we will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home.

The home was perfect for our group. We found it to be close to all our favorite spots, and really felt comfortable while we were there. The mornings on the river can’t be beat, and unwinding at night in the hot tub was our favorite thing to do. We can’t wait to return!

We greatly enjoyed out stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean and contained all the amenities needed. The kitchen appeared to be well stocked if you wish to make a meal but we did not cook at the cottage because the location seemed to be no more than 3-4 minutes from any restaurant we wanted to try - and there are so many great ones in the area. The setting right on the river made for a relaxing and tranquil environment. When we weren't exploring Bend, we were on the back deck enjoying the view. I appreciated that the deck was fully enclosed with a gate opening from the deck onto the fully fenced back yard meaning that those traveling with small children could let them enjoy the deck without worrying about them accessing the river. All in all a great experience.

Amazing location, I'll try to stay again for a longer visit in the future! Bend is a great town, can't wait to explore more! This house was perfect!

Wonderful Bend Location on the River, amazing views. Well equipped vacation Rental, and you cannot beat the walk-able location. It was too cold yet for water sports but the Kids loved going over to Columbia Park several times during our stay, Nice pedestrian trail lead us all the way into Old Mill for dinner, Trendy Coffee shop & Bars just a couple blocks away! We really enjoyed our stay and will be back for sure!!

This house is like a second home right on the river. We enjoyed walking downtown, rafting and hiking during the day. Everything is a short walk away. Sitting in the hot tub while enjoying the river view made a dreamy vacation. The house is very clean with a well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. Beds are comfortable too. When we return to Bend, we plan to stay at this house again.

River West was ideal for our group. The open layout was perfect for everyone to hang out together. We had a great time hanging in the hot tub overlooking the river and watching the ducks swim by. We were able to walk to a nice food truck lot and a couple of breweries close to the house. There was even a nice park within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely look into staying at the River West on our next trip to Bend.

We had a great time at the Stone's Throw Bungalow. We walked along the river and enjoyed swimming in the water on hot days. We checked out Chow, which was a great breakfast spot, as well as some local breweries and Zydeco for our last meal. It was a great location, made for a nice stroll or short drive anywhere. We loved our stay! We were there for a Memorial Day baseball tourney and this being a dog friendly home made it perfect for our family. We brought our paddle boards and launched from the yard. Was a perfect time. The home is a block from two great breweries and a number of restaurants. Perfect for families!

We had a great time in Bend and enjoyed this home so much. The river view was lovely. It was very close to downtown and other restaurants. The home was clean and well set up. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended spot!

Such a lovely peaceful spot! We loved the hot tub by the river with views of gathering ducks and geese just starting their spring time thing. We’ll be back for a longer stay! We love Bend. The nearby coffee house by the river was amazing! Sadly our experience at Deschutes Brewery was terrible due to poor new management and rude personnel. We should have eaten here at Riverfront in the well equipped and comfortable kitchen and dining spaces.

Having lived in Bend for about four years, I know the town well...and A Stone's Throw is what you want when visiting. Right on the river, walking distance to Galveston and downtown with a big beautiful space and absolutely spotless. The hot tub was pretty great and in the summer, the access to the river with the great lawn sloping down to the river with adirondaks is just the best. You may worry that it's too close to the road or some of the bars - but the place was silent as a church. Great towels and bedding. The locked garage is a great bonus for storing your toys (boards, skis, kayaks, etc.). Would absolutely stay again.

Second year of staying at the RiverBend Bungalow. Great location with easy walks to downtown, nearby microbrewery pubs and restaurants. Comfortable house with everything I needed for a 12 day stay.

Beautiful setting. Kitchen supplies good and had what was needed to make lovely dinner. Fenced yard. Hot tub clean and water hot. Great spot to watch birds and river.

Everything was as expected and pictured in the ad. Beautiful view and lots of space. The house was very clean and had everything you needed to cook. Easy walk in to town. Will stay here again next time I’m in Bend!

Our family had a great stay at this House! Very spacious for our family of 4 plus Grandma! Great location too. We were able to walk to the amphitheater for the Jack Johnson concert. Very clean and comfortable!

The neighborhood is not only quiet and family friendly, but lots of restaurants, pubs and nightlife within walking distance. We brought our Kayaks and loved the easy access to the Deschutes river. I was amazed at the attention to detail, everything was at your fingertips. The lock system was great because keeping track of keys and the fear of locking yourself out were taken care of.

My wife and I explored all of Bend and the surrounding area, but one requirement was that our rental be located on the riverfront near town. River Bend Cottage has a great back yard with comfortable seating on the river. Enjoy your coffee or tea, read the paper or that summer novel and enjoy the ducks and rafters in the water. House is well laid out and all necessities are provided, towels, shampoo, full kitchen supplies etc. Make a stop at the nearby market for coffee and breakfast fixings or an occasional dinner or lunch at home. Location is an easy walk to town over the bridge on Galveston, past Drake Park (also a good view walk). Go to the left out the front door and you can actually walk to the Old Mill District, just stay close to the river walks. High Desert Museum is a real quality facility, check Tower Theatre for music and Elks Baseball is fun for an evening game. Some Deschutes campgrounds are not open until snow melts in early summer, but Tumalo Falls has good views and several hikes. Craft beers all over the place and Pilot Butte Drive In serves the best hamburger ever...ever.

Diana & Chris & Marta's place is fantastic. From the beautiful view of the river, to the scenic hot tub, to the spacious living quarters. It had everything my family and I needed for our stay in Bend and all our outdoor activities. The location was ideal too. Just a short walk away from loads of great eateries, breweries and downtown activities. Additionally, check in/out was seamless and communication was clear and helpful. I highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to Bend!

Very close to town and to brew pubs, just a short walk out the front door. Quiet neighborhood, easy access to Mt. Bachelor. House was comfortable for two couples, a hot tub that actually worked well was a bonus. Seems like they are always too cold. I would stay here again.

Stayed for nine nights in this two bedroom bungalow by the river. Excellent location near downtown Bend just off of Galveston Avenue (the new hip spot for drinks, food, music, and art). Easy walk to either 10 Barrel or Sunriver Brewing Pubs. A nice deck overlooking the river with a good size hot tub just out the door. Really appreciated the garage (as well as owner having the driveway shoveled) as it snow pretty much every day of the stay. The owners stayed in contact and were readily available to help with any questions. This is my seventh stay in Bend while skiing, and have always found nice condo's with affordable prices. This was the best of the places I have stayed due to the location and the ease of use.

We had a fantastic stay for our first ever trip to Bend. The home is ideally located, with an amazing backyard featuring a hot tub and serene view of the river. The hosts were very accommodating and kept in touch with us to make sure our stay was perfect. Can't recommend enough.

One word.... Location!.... Just is close to everything.... Rode our bikes everywhere and returned to enjoy the river..... Location and river make up for some minor decor shortfalls.... But all in all - would recommend for sure!

Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. From the location to accommodations to the attentive owners, it was a delight to stay in this very comfortable house. Everything needed was there, right down to the sandals for trips to the hot tub. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Downtown for the marathon, great restaurants (Hola! to name one) Found the food truck area and had a great time mingling with everyone. The river was beautiful. All amenities were top notch. Thanks for checking in on us, makes us feel like family. We hope to come back soon for a longer stay. Patti

Beautiful, clean, turn-key home in an idyllic river side setting...great walk ability factor. No surprises; this listing was as described. The only thing is that the pictures don't do this place justice. A perfect rental for our needs.

Perfect little house right on the river, and within walking distance of all the great spots in Bend! We enjoyed everything about our stay here. Great location, house was clean, well-stocked kitchen and towels, lots of nice little touches. Hot tub overlooking the river is fabulous. And pet-friendly! I wouldn't change a thing!

This well furnished and modern house was a great base camp for the activities of Bend. Being so close to the Pubs and Breweries was exquisite!! We cannot wait to return and try it explore the rest if this town.

My husband and I had a great time here! We walked to different breweries every day and completed the Ale Trail. Two days of snowboarding (or ...one day of
"Ice boarding and one day of powder), we really enjoyed soaking in the hot tub when we got home. We've loved our time here and will definitely be back!
