Farewell Bend Bungalow

The house is exceptionally clean, with great attention to detail. Everything is extremely well organized. The home is very pleasant and ideally located close to the river and all shops. I highly recommend this place!

A Stone’s Throw Bungalow was perfect!! The house has been thoughtfully, tastefully and lovingly restored and improved and little touches abound. From little chocolates waiting in the kitchen to the sparkling clean hot tub and bathrooms, you could not ask for a more pleasant experience. The neighborhood is walkable to town, the river and the old mill district, yet quiet and peaceful. We loved our stay and look forward to a summertime visit to experience the river, and if Mt Bachelor skiing again, I wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else. Thank you so much!

Perfect location and perfect house for a Christmas week with family. The host even put a Christmas tree and stockings up which was a very thoughtful touch. Very clean and comfortable and everything about the stay was easy! thanks so much for having us.

The best feeling is walking into an "unknown to us" Airbnb and see it is upscale, furnished/decorated perfectly and most important.... spotlessly clean!

This was my third time staying in this darling little house. It's beautifully put together, close to everything and very cozy. Beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Will absolutely stay there again!!

The house is exactly as photographed, it's a jewel. Truly a pleasure to stay. Beautifully renovated, kitchen well stocked with all the pots and pans and glass bowls that you may need to create beautiful dinners. Truly enjoyed my stay. Beds very comfortable.

I took my teens to Bend for a quick getaway to visit friends and we loved this house! The boys claimed the upstairs master bedroom and felt right at home. The whole house was so cozy, clean and comfortable. Great location, we walked everywhere. The host was on top of everything and answered questions immediately. We will definitely bring back the whole family and stay here again!

Love staying here when I'm in Bend!

Diana’s place was so nice and in the perfect location between downtown bend and the old mill district. The house was spotless and had plenty of space. Hot tub was clean and was great in the evening!

My boyfiend and I enjoyed our stay here. Diana was a good communicator, very responsible and helpful in getting the top floor temperature reduced, as the top floor was really hot at first. The house is on an adorable tree-lined block, with a nice café on the corner. The house is close to everything. The jacuzzi and garden are nice, and the top floor bedroom was very comfortable...especially appreciated the new carpet! The house is charming and older, but very well maintained. I would definitely stay here again when in Bend.

In Bend a lot for work - and this is definitly one of my favorite places to stay. Diana does a great job making sure we have everything we need and the location can't be beat.

Perfect location - easily walkable to downtown and the old mill district, and a really great restaurant right across the street. The house was also the perfect amount of space for two couples and a 1yo. Cozy and charming and the hot tub was a lovely bonus after long days hiking.

Most awesome house in a great neighborhood! Within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, breweries and the river walk! Jackson’s corner (cute/fun eatery) is steps away!

The house is well laid out and met our needs perfectly. Kitchen was well stocked and clean! Loved the hot tub and bikes and even used the tubes for a river float! Total 5 star accommodations!!

Great bungalow in perfect location. Easy to get everywhere in Bend. Jackson’s corner is a perfect spot right across the street for morning coffee and breakfast. We loved using the hot tub and felt right at home.

Had an amazing stay at A Stone's Throw!! Diana was super communicative and the home is beautiful. We stayed for a few days with 2 families; 4 adults and 2 toddlers. There was a lot of room for us to have our own space and the shared space was lovely. The fenced yard was great for relaxing evenings lounging on the porch while the kids ran around (unfortunately didn't spend much time in the backyard which was also very nice!). The location was great and we used our car far less than expected - you can walk pretty much anywhere in Bend within 20 min. Jackson's corner across the street was an amazing perk for takeout dinners, to grab ice cream, coffee or a bottle of wine. Only a few blocks from "The Wave" and Miller's landing where the kids loved to swim in the river.

Great place in Old Bend!

Our family had the most wonderful time during our stay in Bend. We loved the home's layout, decor, and amenities. The location was perfect - we could walk just about anywhere, and we loved Jackson's Corner across the street! The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the home had plenty of space for my partner and I, our two adult children, and our two younger children. It was perfect. Diana was very communicative and proactively responsive, and we felt all the rules were reasonable. In the end, we realized one of our children left their basket of clothes and Diana made sure it was shipped back to us - incredibly accommodating. We will definitely book again in the future.

Wonderful place to stay. Exactly as listed. Great hot tub. Would stay again anytime I'm back in town.

This is a wonderful location, walking distance to downtown and the old mill area. Home was very well appointed and had everything we needed. We used the hot tub nightly, that was a big plus after hiking all day. Nice quiet neighborhood and great little cafe across the street

Wonderful central Bend location. The house is just as described and had all the necessary amenities to settle right in. Comfortable furnishings and beds. Was perfect for my family. Hot tub was a nice feature. We will be back to this house for sure!

Outstanding location with all the amenities we could hope for.

The house was very cute and you could walk or ride bikes to town. When we arrived the front door code did not work so we went to the back and we were able to get in. The house is clean but could definitely use some deep cleaning. The windows had children’s prints all over them, the blinds were dusty, and the vent fan in the upstairs bathroom was very dirty. One of the main reasons we rented this house is because it had a hot tub which we were unable to use due to it not being cleaned. I messaged the host about the door and the hot tub but sadly only the door lock was addressed. Once we left we were refunded $25 per day for not being able to use the hot tub which was a nice gesture. Overall, we had a nice stay and thought the house was very cute, was in a great location, and we really liked the bikes.

We had a top-tier experience! The house itself is charming, in a quiet location, very walkable to downtown, and is equipped with everything one needs to cook and, generally, feel right at home. (Also—major bonus points for the hot tub.)

However, I would say that it was Diana (and the Stone's Throw team) that really set this place apart. Fantastic communication throughout the whole process. We had a few mishaps (on our end) during our time in Bend, and Diana and team were incredibly understanding, accommodating, and helped us out when we were in a bind. Huge thanks!

We enjoyed our stay at Diana's place very much! The house is perfect for a group looking to enjoy Bend - with a great location, walkable to downtown (restaurants, coffee, etc). The property is well maintained and has everything you need (coffee, paper towels, towels for hot tub, detergent, soaps, wood for the fire place). The house is charming, well furnished, and comfortable. We would love to stay here again if in the area!

This is a superb rental! We loved the spaciousness, the decor and the comfort of the home. The hot tub was perfect every morning, and we walked across the street to eat at Jackson's Corner no less than four times. The location is near everything but very peaceful. A Stone’s Throw Bungalow was the perfect getaway spot for our cousins trip. It’s an immaculate and cozy cottage with all the amenities needed for a great visit and to relax. It’s walking distance to several restaurants and shops. I’d highly recommend this cottage to anyone interested in visiting Bend!

Very clean, comfortable and cozy historic home in one of the older neighborhoods of Bend. We appreciated the fireplace, seasonal touches and excellent cafe down the block. We would book Diana's place again in a heartbeat.

Amazing house and location! The salt water hot tub is equipped with a soothing fountain when you turn the jets off. I was able to grill the perfect cuts of meat on their bbq grill. I kept warm doing it with their gas fire pit. The house was warm and welcoming, fire place ready for action with duralogs. The kitchen is stacked for all your cooking needs, and storage for left over dinner/ midnight snacks. Highly recommend this listing for your week or weekend festivities when in Bend.

Family of 3 with a 9 month old and our first time in Bend. We were in town for 3 days and wanted to stay at a central location. Diana's place was perfect. The house was exactly what was described and more! As soon as we stepped in it felt like home.

Diana was a tremendous and hospitable host. As soon as I booked she reached out to me with a kind welcome note. Communication was smooth and she was easily reachable. I knew if I had any questions or problems she would be available to address.

Comfortable, sunny, well-appointed cottage within an easy walk to the river and downtown.

The house is charming and laid out to provide ample room for guests. I like the enclosed foyer, the eat on kitchen and darling back yard.

An Old Bend district house that has been meticulously restored and upgraded, while keeping its period charm. Great living and sleeping spaces, from the sun porch/dining room to the upstairs loft retreat. Exactly as advertised. Especially appreciated: the boutique hotel touches (great beds and linens), rooms and spaces where you could spread out and relax. We've been coming to Bend since the 1970s, stayed in every imaginable motel and resort, and this lovely bungalow tops them all! We highly recommend.

We were impressed with the very peaceful and private vibe, and we slept like the dead on the plush beds and beautiful linens. The kitchen had everything we needed and was organized meticulously. The home is in a great location with restaurants and grocery stores in walking distance. Ten minutes away from Phil's trailhead for all your MTB needs. The house is huge and furnished with quality and comfortable furniture. Quiet neighborhood with great parking.

Photos make the home look larger than it is, exp the kitchen. Love the master up as a quiet retreat just for the adults. Teens loved each having their own room.
