A very comfortable home and the location is excellent.

I truly felt at home at this lovely house in Bend. As much as we wanted to leave and explore Bend, we were also enjoying our time hanging out at the Airbnb so much that we ended up doing more relaxing than exploring! Wonderful place to stay with everything you need! Highly recommend

Had an amazing time here, close to 10 Barrel and only minutes from town. The hot tub was an absolute blessing after a long day on the mountain and the entire house is best described as cozy. I would encourage anyone to stay! We will be back for sure!

Diana's house was perfect for our getaway. It is so cute. clean spacious, and cute decor. The yard is cute and private. I was honestly most impressed by the bathroom floor. It's heated!! I'd walk in the bathroom and feel warmth and comfort. I'd never experienced a heated floor. Amazing. Diana is really fast at responding to messages. we would definitely stay here again.

This place is a great location! Walkable to get restaurants and businesses! We enjoyed our time!

There were so many places within walking distance. It was nice to be able to park our car and walk to most places. We even walked down the street and rented mountain bikes(Pine Mountain Sports) and biked to Phil's MTB trail(Ben's trail out and Phils back to the trailhead). You could easily bike to anywhere within Bend from the house. Some of our favorite walkable places were, GoodLife Brewing, 10 Barrell Brewing(a favorite) Sunriver Brewing, Bonta Gelato, Boss Rambler Beer Club(Breakfast Burrito food truck in the morning), El Sancho Taco, Kevista Coffee, Mother's Juice.

If you go up the hill when heading to Phil's MTB trail there is Mountain Burger, The Sparrow Bakery NW and The Grove food Hall.

We enjoyed all the breweries in town, Hiking at Smith Rock and Tumalo falls.

We used the hot tub often even though it was hot during the day, it cools down at night. The fence yard was amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are friendly.

Quiet, quintessential Bend. Walkable, or a short 5 min drive to almost everything you could want/need. Loved our evening strolls and the quiet, idyllic neighborhood in which this charming bungalow is situated in. Would recommend and would absolutely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay at Diana's place in Bend, Oregon. The house was super clean and located in a beautiful area, close to park and river activities. We loved that it was within walking distance to many restaurants. Diana was a friendly and responsive host, making sure we had everything we needed. The amenities were great, including a fully stocked kitchen and an enclosed pet-friendly backyard with a hot tub. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

A lovely house and host

Cozy spot for anyone looking for a place to stay in bend, great house, yard, and hot tub. My only complaint is that there is no A/C in the bedrooms however we are here during a heatwave so it’s likely not an issue most of the time.

We had an amazing time in Bend and a large part of that was due to our wonderful accommodations and host! This house did not disappoint and was perfect for my husband and I and our dog. We were within walking distance of great food, entertainment, and activities! This house will definitely be our new “go-to” AirBnB! Thank you so much Diana!

We had a great stay at Diana's cottage. It was very clean inside and out. The backyard was private & fenced. We enjoyed using the clean hot tub. We booked our stay for a concert at the amphitheatre. It was so nice to be able to take a leisurely walk from the cottage to the venue in about 25 minutes. We walked back in dark & felt safe in the neighborhood. The cottage is very dog friendly & in a future stay we would like to bring our dog along.

This house is so fabulous! Nicely renovated and cozy, it was an awesome place to stay while in Bend. My only complaint is the hot tub was not clean when we arrived and was not properly cleaned while we were there. That was a bummer but everything else was absolutely perfect.

I had an excellent stay at Diana's home. It was the perfect place to catch up with my sister, make food, play games, take long walks and rest well. On our first evening walk a gorgeous buck was strolling through the neighborhood and it felt like a treat! The neighborhood is very quiet with beautiful homes and quick access to the river.

The house was well stocked with everything we needed and would certainly be a great space for more folks than just the two of us. The home guide was clear and helpful with great recommendations on local spots to eat and enjoy ourselves. I would love to stay at Diana's place the next time we are out this way. Thank you for letting us stay at your excellent space!

Diana was a fantastic host and very accommodating. We had a great trip and loved to location of this place. Lots to do and great food / coffee / beer around.

Bikes for use was a super bonus too as it was so fun to ride around town. I would recommend 100% and hope to be back.

The only thing I can think of was that the rooms got a bit warm at night. The main cooling mini split kept the main part of the house cool but didn't get into the rooms too well (especially if the doors were closed). It was also in the mid 90's most of our trip so it may be totally fine otherwise.

Cute house on quiet street. We loved the fact that we could walk to the river park, breweries and coffee. House a bit dated but worked out great for our weekend. We brought 2 bikes and used the 2 cruisers in the garage which is much better than trying to drive/park anywhere in Bend. Diana is a perfect host.

The rental was well suited to our needs. In particular the location was perfect as both a launching pad for skiing at Mt. Bachelor and for exploring Bend. Some excellent restaurants within a very short walk. Downtown is a longer walk or a trivial bike ride in nice weather.

The first night we were bleary from long travel and failed to read the instructions on the heat pump remote carefully enough, and had trouble warming the place up, but that was mostly our fault. Diana was good about responding to our questions on the topic.

Kitchen was spacious and well equipped. Bedrooms are on the small side. The house is a good size for a couple. Hot tub was key after skiing!

We had a great time. Great location for everything.

Great location! It was just my daughter and myself, so we enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and nearby attractions. In those winter days it was wonderful to have a hot fireplace and hot hot tub!

Perfect cozy home. Small space with all the needed amenities. Great location and good price. Did not use the hot tub at night. Per the house rules, we would basically need to be silent while using it after 10pm. Small yard so the neighboring homes are right next to the hot tub.

What a charming and lovely house. The hot tub after a long drive was just what the body and mind needed. The living room is very comfortable, the gas stove really made the evening that much nicer. The bed was super comfortable. We brought our 2 dogs and they had the best time. There is a dog park maybe a 1/4 mile away. We shopped at Newport Ave market and cooked on the grill. We felt very safe and its very quiet there. Located near amazing food and super close to downtown and 10 minutes from old mill. We will be returning for sure.

Awesome house! Only issues were the heat-thermostats were set but house was in mid 50’s each morning, maybe it shuts off at night? And hot tub isn’t allowed after 10pm-the neighbors shine lights on you & watch you in the yard. Saw this on other reviews-maybe time for a taller fence?! Other than that we’d def stay here again. Location & landscaping was awesome!!

Cute little house in such a perfect location. Very walkable. Very helpful binder of information with lots of food and drink recommendations. My husband and I brought our toddler and went with our friends and their baby. The back room with the king-size bed is spacious enough for a pack n play to be on the floor, but there wasn't really enough space in the front room for one. Fortunately, there is a loft above the front room, so we were able to put the pack n play up there, but that set-up may not be suitable for everyone. Just a heads up in case others are travelling with children!

First time to Bend and Mt.Bachelor. The cabin location is perfect! The hot tub was much appreciated. First day at Mt.bachelor is was a snow blizzard. The next day we went it was beautiful blue sky. Thank you for the amazing stay.

This home was perfect for our ski vacation. It was an easy drive to Mt Bachelor each day, and it was great to come back to a cozy home with a fireplace and hot tub after a long day on the slopes. And we were also within walking distance to everything we needed, including a fantastic dog park. Would definitely come back again.

This little cottage is a great getaway in the city of Bend. Location is close enough to drive/walk to nearby restaurants and breweries. It's close enough to all the parks we planned to visit and an easy drive to Mt Bachelor.

The house has everything you could need. A nice living room to relax and plenty of access for entertainment such as Netflix, Roku, and cable. If reading is your thing there is even a quiet spot to escape into your book. The instructions for everything were so detailed that it left no question unanswered. The backyard was perfect for our dog. The neighborhood was great for walking the dog while grabbing coffee or a growler fill. The hot tub is fantastic! In case you didn't read the first sentence the house is in the city so yes you have neighbors and can hear cars but you're not on the side of the highway or anything.

Cinder was cozy and homey. Hot tub was great! My pup loved the yard and loved the convenience to all things in Bend. Thank s for the great stay!

Easy check in, very clean, so many thoughtful details! We loved the very luxurious hot tub and the location was excellent! The hosts were so attentive and communication was excellent.

Thank you for the stay, it felt like we were in a little cabin in the woods, but we were in a populated area which was nice. We loved the hot tub and the bed was probably one of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. The high chair being available was a plus as well.

The hot water did not last long enough for me to fill up the bath to take advantage of the jacuzzi tub which was disappointing. The house was also very drafty and it was either too hot or too cold in the bedroom, which was not ideal for us with having an infant who can’t regulate her own body temp. Cleanliness could also be improved, there was a bunch of dog hair on the front window sill, and while we have a dog at home and are used to it, it does not add to the cleanliness factor.

This was the first time that we've had a rental where we could just let the dogs out back unsupervised. What a great change!
Loved the hot tub- we got in multiple time a day! Our favorite places were Bagel bomb, 10 Barrel, The Yacht club, Pilot Butte and Smith Rock.

What a joy to read our entry form 2 years ago! On our first day here our old dog romped around in the backyard with the energy of a puppy when he realized we came back to this great place. This is our fourth time renting A Stones Throw Property and out second time in the Cinder Cone Cottage. The pet friendly accommodation truly makes it feel like a home away from home. We will return!

The perfect Bend residence. In one of the best parts of town and within, a very short, walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and tap houses. The house was fantastic and charming with all of the amenities needed. Very comfortable and cozy inside along with a great back yard and hot tub. My wife and I stayed here for 3 weeks, and this was one of the best AirBnb experiences we have had. The house is adorable, was clean, and had everything we needed to cook and clean. Even the bathroom was stocked with essentials. The hot tub and fireplace were amazing, and the neighborhood itself is so pretty and nice to walk around. There is a park at the end of the road that connects to a nice walking path and dog park. The host responded to every question we had within minutes. This place is very convenient to town and is walking distance to a few shops and restaurants. 100% recommend!

Ideal location walking distance to breweries/restaurants and the river. Hot tub was a big hit! Very nice to have the extra touches like the coffee/tea/chocolate basket as well as shampoo/ lotion etc. We felt at home and would stay there again.

My dogs and I loved this home. The ease of check in, the space in the home, the perfect backyard and the private hot tub made the home a must stay for anyone! We cooked while listening to music, went on hikes and explored Bend. The house is perfectly located so you can walk to breweries, coffee shops, yoga studios, and dinner! Plus, it was less than 30 min from Mt Bachelor! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Brook was very responsive as well. We would definitely stay here again. Ps - Bend has some of the top dogs parks out there! We loved at least 3!! Check out the off leash parks of: Pine Nursery, Big Sky and Good Dog. They are a must!

We will book through A Stones Throw every time we come back to Bend. You run a great operation, and we feel like we are in our home away from home when we stay with A Stones Throw! The choice of dog friendly cottages is huge for us and makes us feel like our non traditional family is very welcome.

We loved the cinder cone cottage. Walking distance to west side grub and Drake Park. We loved the hot tub and snowy back yard. We all had enough space for quiet activities and all the amenities of home. Can't wait to visit again.

We come to Bend every year- this trip was an additional spontaneous family trip and this place was perfect! We will stay again!

Wonderful smaller yet spacious bungalow in a perfect location. The street was quiet yet very close to lots of amenities (grocery stores, restaurants, etc). Our family of four and our dog felt right at home with just the rights amount of space and the backyard was very private feeling and very secure fencing for our dog. Hot tub was clean and perfect temperature that we enjoyed. Definitely recommend and we will stay there again!! Not to mention the hosts were very kind and responsive!

We love Bend and Cinder Cone - the perfect place to spend our anniversary. You must eat at Spork and go up to the mountain several days in a row to get good.

Booked this very last minute in the evening hours and it was ready almost immediately. Great little place with lots of room for snowboarding gear and within walking distance of several great places. Hot tub is huge and very clean. Would definitely book again.

Our first trip to Bend, although it will not be our last. We really loved it here and it was so nice to come "home" to the cottage after a long day hiking, enjoying the river and drinking lots of beer. I especially think our dog, Harley had a better time than even us. Thanks for a lovely stay and hope to make more memories in Bend very soon.

We came to Bend for the 4th year in a row; however this was our first time at the Cinder Cone house. We loved this house and will stay here again. The yard was great for our dogs. We walked to dinner at Ariana's (which was fabulous) and biked to downtown. We also rode the free shuttle and the stop is just at 13th and Galveston. It was so easy to ride and convenient. Everything was fabulous. We will be back next year to stay here!

We had a wonderful week in the cottage, enjoying the magnificent Bend summer, and exploring the lakes, forest and town. 4th of July pet parade and the trails and Sparks Lake were highlights. Loved the proximity to everything. We spent almost every evening in the cute yard. So many great places to eat nearby. Thanks for a great little spot.

This is our second time staying with friends at Cinder Cone (and we'll be back!). It couldn't be more convenient in terms of location. 10 Barrel, Sunriver, Ale Apothecary, and Good Life are just a short walk away. It's a quick Lyft or a nice urban hike to get to any of the others (we walked to Crux in 30 minutes). There aren't many pet-friendly rentals with hot tubs in Bend, and the fact that this one is so convenient and comfortable make it a prime spot to stay.

Just to sum up some highlights from our perfect Spring Break trip: happy days, happy toddler, bike ride, great beer, playgrounds and parks, riverside walks. In summary, it was a fantastic family trip and a wonderful, cozy place - thank you!

Such a nice place to spend our spring break escape! We loved all the amenities, especially the yard and hot tub. My son loved having the loft all to himself! Thanks so much!

The cottage is cozy, clean, and in a great neighborhood. Walking distance to plenty of breweries, bars, and restaurants. Plus there’s a Safeway close by. The place is a little small, so it’s probably not ideal for any groups over 4. We had 2 couples in our party, and it was good for the 4 of us, but it would’ve been too cramped with any more people. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub is relaxing, and the backyard is big (the gas BBQ grill is an extra plus!) The Stone’s Throw team were great hosts! When we ran out of toilet paper and garbage bags, they dropped some off to us on the porch. Great customer service!

This place had everything we needed for a quick getaway ski trip. Love the gas fireplace and how quickly it heats the house, great hot tub for the after ski sore legs, comfortable beds, and a user friendly kitchen.
Almost forgot, perfect location!

We came to Bend for our sons 11th B-day adventure. Your little bungalow was a special treat for all of us. The boys loved their hide-away loft and the hot tub and my husband and I enjoyed the quiet relaxing time spent in front of the fire. We played up on Bachelor during a lovely blizzard and raced home to the hot tub. It was a perfect place to spend our adventure!

Location can’t be beat, has plentiful food and drink options within walking distance and just a short drive to downtown. Super clean, great communication, extremely comfortable.
