The house was everything as described; in excellent location with walkable areas to surrounding nature, restaurants and town areas... location was by far the highlight of this stay in Bend!!!

The space was clean on arrival and Diana worked with us for a flexible check-in process for additional cost. Entry to the space was easy, instructions were provided in advance and were clear. Kitchen had the basics for cooking.

This home was a GREAT location. We were able to easily walk to many restaurants, breweries, bars and shopping. Bend is gorgeous, I had no idea! We were also very close to the river walking trail, which we slept a lot of time on. The home was comfy and clean, very cozy! Beds very comfy. Hot tub was lovely. Would stay here again many time over!

We had a wonderful stay at Diana’s Airbnb in Bend! The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk to the river, fantastic restaurants, and downtown. The home was spotless, and Diana’s warm hospitality made us feel right at home. We especially loved how walkable everything was; it made our trip so much more relaxing. The only suggestion we have is to consider replacing the mattress in the bedroom closest to the back deck, as it’s a bit squeaky on the left side. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again!

This bungalow is wonderful! The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need (including actually sharp knives, olive oil, salt + pepper), which was much appreciated, and the place is exactly as described. The location is top notch - you're are literally a stone's throw from the river and the awesome restaurants/breweries on Galveston and a short walk to downtown. The fenced in yard was a major plus for our dog. The air conditioning was great, and we had some very hot (~100) days during our stay. Given that we have family in the area, we'll certainly be back and will look to rebook here!

We absolutely loved our stay at Diana’s home. It was so cozy, cute and clean. The river and Drakes park were a 2 minute walk which made it prime for paddle boarding. We went to dinner at Bosa nearby and it was delicious. Would love to come back and would recommend to anyone coming through Bend!

This is a fabulous place. Everything was easy to use. The kitchen is well equipped, there is plenty of space. It is cute and comfy and in a perfect location for exploring by car or bike or on foot.

Outstanding space, the backyard was great with our dogs. We had a big snowstorm while we were there, so didn’t get to take advantage of being outside in the -6° weather, thus missed out on the hot tub and fire pit, but we were super toasty inside and look forward to our next stay!

Great, little cottage with vintage personality. Located in the heart of Bend so walking to the best spots is easy. Communication was great with the host and check-in was easy. Two fireplaces in a small space along with a fierce furnace ensure a cozy stay. We had assumed that one of the fireplaces was in the living room but instead, one is in the kitchen and the other in the master bedroom. We enjoyed breakfast and coffee next to the fireplace in the kitchen as the rest of the house heated up on the cold mornings. Would stay here again.

This little cottage is in the perfect location and is so thoughtfully decorated. We loved it!

This is a very cute cottage near Drake Park. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Just a block from a cute food cart pod. Only real downside is there’s a gas station on the other side of back yard fence. Also apparently the people right before us were loud enough to get a noise complaint so we got an extra reminder about being quiet in the hot tub. Which I understand but ended up feeling like we had to whisper at 7 at night and didn’t go in the 2nd night.

Very good location close to the action. If you are looking for a quiet street this isn't the place for you, not to say it was extremely busy outside, but it is right next to all of the local conveniences. Well-stocked kitchen with everything you would need. Overall nice stay.

Beautiful home, old charm. Updated kitchen and bath and hot tub was easy to use. Fire pit with wood provided just grabbed paper from recycling bin to get it started. Has a garage for car but didn't use parked out front.Location was great walked down the street to pedestrian bridge over river to get to old town for shopping and restaurants.

Great location, just down the way from the downtown area and just around the corner from places to eat and have a drink. If you plan to use the kitchen be aware the knives are very dull and the blender barely works. Also check underneath the beds to make sure a diaper wasn’t left behind from previous people. If you are staying longer then a few days (like we did) the washer and dryer seem like they were picked up from the corner with a sign that says “may work, may not”. We were unable to do laundry but luckily there was a nice laundry mat located behind the house that worked great for us. Just for the price your paying I would have liked for a few things to be up to that par. The location is there for sure.

Diana's place is in the best spot for walkable socialites. It's clean, cozy, and offers the perfect porch for people watching. Literally couldn't be in a more walkable location. It can be a bit loud since it is downtown, so I'd recommend it for people who plan to go out on the town. Loved the amenities, hot tub, and pet friendly aspect.

Nice historic home, with many old decorative touches. Near the river, popular for walking, rafting, restaurants. Kitchen needs work - dishwasher is wobbly in its cavity and does not do a proper job. Nonstick pans were practically unusable - peeling surface, loose handles. We had to change the date on our reservation and were stuck with paying an an exorbitant 37% increase in the nightly rate in order to avoid a 50% cancellation fee.

This was a great place to stay! The river is extremely close, as is Drake Park. It’s a short walk to town, restaurants, and shopping. I wish we stayed longer so I could have used the kitchen more! Trivial Pursuit was nostalgic and fun to play.

Wow, I couldn't think of a better location in Bend, just a block off the river and right in the heart of great bites and brews. When we weren't on the river or the trails, the front porch became our gathering place for cool, shady afternoons and evenings. Bonus free listening to the Thursday night concerts.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay to enjoy a weekend as a family in Bend. The location is amazing - just a short walk to Drake Park and so many of our favorite food spots in Bend. We were traveling with littles, so the playground just up the street was perfect and being able to walk everywhere made our stay that much better since we truly got to just spend time enjoying Bend vs driving everywhere, loading up, etc. Diana's place is clean and inviting and made the perfect place to rest our heads!

My husband and I spent 2 weeks at Diana’s place in Bend with our dog and loved it! For longer stays it can always be a bit challenging to find something that doesn’t feel like a downgrade from home, but the quality of everything in the home made us more than comfortable! We were especially grateful to have the comfortable king bed and huge bedroom as well as multiple working spaces. The fenced front and back yards were amazing for our dog, and the hot tub was definitely a huge bonus. We were also very happy with the area—the place is a very short walk to lots of restaurants and bars on Galveston and easily accessible to downtown and the mall / old mill district. We would be more than happy to return!

This house is perfect! Adorable home, perfect central location, so so so cozy, tons of things to do in the house (including an amazing hot tub), we didn't want to leave the house but the host provides an amazing list of things to do. We just hung out next to the fireplace in the kitchen and made bread and had a lovely time. Hygge incapsulated!!! We'll be back for sure.

What a terrific spot in the heart of Bend's westside! We had a delightful stay here and are already anticipating a future stay during upcoming visits to Bend!

We had a great time at Stones Throw cottage. Lots to see and do! Cute cottage, great amenities and a fun hot tub set up that we used daily.
It was easy to find and loved the peaceful decor inside.

We so enjoyed our stay at Diana's place! This is the first Airbnb I've been to that was better than the photos! It's such a cozy little place but perfect for what we needed. Excellent kitchen, well stocked with all you could need. We did a lot of cooking and so loved this perk. The hot tub was fantastic and we loved taking a soak on a snowy evening. The location is within walking distance to a few breweries and restaurants and a short drive to all the attractions.

It's only a one bathroom, but we managed quite well with our small group. Beds were comfy although the master bed is slightly hard, but also includes a fireplace so how do you go wrong?!

All in all it was such an easy and comfy stay. 10/10 recommend!!

Location, location, location! We parked our car when we arrived Wednesday and didn’t use it again until we left Sunday! Everything is in walking distance (less than a mile). The back gate to the property is like a secret little door that takes you right into the action on Galveston.
The home was charming and cozy and well appointed. The fireplaces in master and kitchen put out SO much heat. We loved our stay and will definitely try to stay again, when we return to Bend.

Beautiful rustic home in the heart of West Bend. Was very cozy for our family vacation. Fireplaces kept us nice and warm in Winter and the home had everything we needed. Also a well equipped kitchen and great stove! Diana was very responsive as well.

Our favorite part was how walkable it was to great restaurants and breweries. Would definitely be back!

The hosting team was fantastic! They went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. They were kind, attentive and most importantly, not intrusive.

The home is centrally located about .6 miles from the old downtown, Drake Park is right around the corner and Galveston district was practically the back yard. Everywhere was walkable! It was built in 1927 so there were certainly some signs of that (separate hot and cold faucets in the bathroom for example). But everything we needed was there and everything that needed to be updated had been updated.

All in all very pleased with our experience. It was fairly priced and would definitely stay there again.

Loved this place with one exception. This place is very cute. The kitchen particularly is extremely vintage and charming while still being modern with updated appliances and fixtures. The living room and bedrooms are very good sized. Loved the two king beds. The bedroom with the fireplace and patio was awesome and very peaceful. Loved the back yard and deck. Great location- does back up to an alley with businesses that are occasionally noisy- didn’t bother us but something to consider if you want somewhere quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was well set up for us, our toddler, and dog. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal. Walking distance to all sorts of parks, playgrounds, restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries, yet it was still quiet at night and parking was easily available. The house itself was full of old charm, but updated enough to function like a modern home. Furniture & beds were comfortable and the amenities were a nice quality. We would absolutely stay again!

Great location. Very walkable to restaurants, shops and parks. Clean and bright.

Even more lovely in person than in the photos. Close to so many great things we could walk to e-bike around town. Only bummer was that we couldn’t get the jacuzzi to work - plan ahead and check it when you get in if you want to use it.

My family and I loved this beautiful little historic-like home! It was in the absolute best location, especially for kids (next to a park). Once it was finally sunny out, we got to walk everywhere!

The house had everything we needed from enough towels, to all the kitchen utensils you could need. We loved the warm and cozy fireplaces on the cold rainy days. The fridge was so cute and the wainscoting around the entire home was lovely. The hot tub definitely was used and worked great!

This cottage was a wonderful home base for our trip to Bend. The location couldn’t be better as it’s just a couple of blocks away from a lot of food & drink on Galveston. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after hiking Smith Rock. One thing to note, which other reviewers have mentioned, is that the home is smaller (about 1000 sq ft total) and more rustic than it looks in the photos. It feels like a historic home that’s had a few updates made to it, rather than a modern home. We found it to be lovely, charming and cozy!

Great location in an area that has a lot of great walkable destinations. We skied mt bachelor mostly and the place was conveniently located for day trips. The place is modernized but also takes you back in time to what I expect Bend was like in years past. Great character.

We stayed for a month, and generally enjoyed our stay. The house is quite cozy and very conveniently located. The hosts are very responsive.

We did find some of the appliances are in need of repair (leaking fridge, dryer that only sort of dries), and a repair person came twice unannounced and without prior communication.

Great location right in the center of Bend

We spent Christmas week at the "Hygge" house and it worked out great. We were 2 couples (us and our adult son/wife) and the layout of the home worked well. We frequently had 2 local (adult) children visiting and we had enough space for the 6 of us to enjoy take-out meals, board games (they have a nice selection of games and puzzles), movies and the hot tub. The hosts were kind enough to supply 2 extra stools for the island so we could seat 4 in the kitchen. The dining table is small but we pulled chairs from other rooms and squeezed 6 around it. Bring a portable speaker if you want music.

Overall, I would describe the decor as "shabby chic". Some of the furnishings are different or in different locations from the photos (there is no longer a rug in the MBR) but overall the pictures are pretty accurate. The furniture is a combination of modern and vintage. The kitchen is lovely, although we mainly used it only for breakfast. It's a bummer there's no fireplace in the living room - that would make it 6 stars - but having one in the kitchen was cozy and provided extra warmth given the single digit temps.

Several previous comments discuss the zip tie holding up the shower head. The reason for that is that there is no shower head plumbed into the wall so they added one via a long metal hose (like a hand held shower) that they hold up with the zip tie. It works. My real issue was the separate hot and cold taps on the sink. I really struggled with those but that's personal. They've tried to charm up the bathroom but it looks fairly original and it's small so just be prepared.

As everyone else has mentioned, the location is great and that's why you're going to pay a premium rate. Drake Park is absolutely beautiful and had it not been for Covid, we would have taken more advantage of the abundance of nearby restaurants and breweries. Enjoy!

This property was so comfortable and relaxing, like snuggling up on the coach with your favorite blanket. The wood floors have all of the right character for a home like this. The kitchen cabinets and hardware are just a little quirky, in a good way. The back deck was the perfect place to settle for a good book. Loved the location, close to great restaurants on Galveston. The walk through Drake Park to the downtown area was just right for a short walk to dinner.

Such a gem of a home!

...We enjoyed walking especially to the amazing market, and really great Spork restaurant a few blocks away. Our dogs loved the fenced yard as well. We had reserved parking to ski as well in advance so were fortunate to have availability. Thank you for the ability to have a getaway we will definitely be back and looking forward to everything being back to a better albeit perhaps a new “normal”.

This place made our trip to Bend so much better! Super easy check in, the house was spotless, and it was just overall a really great stay. The decor in the house is perfect and every room in the house goes along the same theme. Every room had all of the essentials, and we felt very comfortable and at-home. Also, the hot tub is a huge plus! We used it every night! The second shower right by the back door is perfect when you need to run inside and hop in a hot shower! Also, the fireplace in the kitchen was an everyday essential for us too! We had one minor problem with the refrigerator but we had a response almost instantly, and then the problem was fixed the next morning! I really appreciate how responsive Diana was during our stay. She messaged me a few times just to make sure everything was going okay at the house. I highly recommend staying at this house! It will not disappoint! Definitely plan on coming back.

This lovely bungalow is immaculate, comfortable, stylish, well-equipped and in an ideal location. The beds were also very comfortable. The hosts provided the best welcome book we have ever seen with comprehensive suggestions on restaurants, food shopping and local activities. The hosts were also very responsive and understanding when my husband needed to go to the ER and we asked to extend our stay by one night. Don't hesitate to book, this is a wonderful choice for your stay in Bend!

We have rented many homes in Bend, and this was by far the best located home; walked home from Drake Park after a day of floating, and walked up to Megaphone for coffee each morning. The beds were incredibly comfortable, as was the family room sectional. The kitchen had top appliances and included everything you will need. The only thing that felt off was the size of the bathroom (note it says 1.5 bath, but the .5 is a second shower in the mudroom area, not a toilet). The showers are quite small and feel a bit cramped, but overall the house is spectacular and the communication from the hosts was top level, and we couldn't recommend this home enough.

What a great location near to the river and places to go out or shop. We enjoyed the private backyard and appreciated the fenced front and back for our dog!

We loved everything about this Airbnb! The location is in a prime area to explore the super cute town of bend, we chose to do so by car but many of the places are in walking distance. We kept the fire place going in the kitchen and loved this nice detail to stay warm with. The place was sparkling clean, cozy, and provided all the necessities. The host even provided an extensive binder of local recommendations which was very helpful! Only complaint was the hot tub wasn’t heating up, but the host provided a contact for hot tub maintenance who came and fixed it that same day.

I enjoyed every minute of my stay. The house was so close to everything. I loved walking to all the cafes and breweries, as well as the park. It so calm and peaceful in the morning.

Residential neighborhood yet there are no less than 6 places to buy a beer within a one-minute walk of the house, and a bagel shop. The house is a block from Drake Park. The beds are comfortable; the kitchen is up to date, great dishwasher, stove and washer-dryer. One bathroom with a second shower in the laundry room, but the second shower was out of order. Would stay again.

We loved your house~the perfect location. Bend is such an amazing place~we spent much of our time outside golfing, biking and floating the river. Thanks for making our nights cozy in this cute little cottage. We'll be back!

We enjoyed our weekend in this house so much! The kitchen and bathroom are well equipped, the beds are comfy, the hot tub is easy to use, the fire pit in the back is big, the front porch is cozy, and the location is great!!! Would happily come back again. So charming.

I have been fortunate enough to rent from A Stone's Throw numerous times, and every time is a gift. The homes are cozy with décor that isn't pretentious but is about real living with a refreshing, inviting touch of beauty. I am very thankful for your offerings and I look forward to staying again at one of your great homes. You never disappoint.

After 15 years of having my parents visit the PNW, seeing every place from Tofino to Manzanita and many locations in between, it's this home in Bend, that may have finally convinced them to move west and leave New York behind. Wonderful stay, in a wonderful home, in a wonderful location. Good chance we'll be back, perhaps next time to stay!

My parents and I absolutely loved this home! Everything about it was great:
- The furniture in the home, from the comfy large couch to the king sized beds, were great. We only wish the beds were a little on the firmer side.
- The kitchen was beautiful and very well stocked with everything we needed. And a Viking range! While we didn't use it - certainly not something you see in your normal rental.
- The front yard was welcoming and enclosed - the grass well manicured and the front porch seats perfect for lounging and watching the people go by on the sidewalk.
- The backyard fire pit, BBQ and couches were a wonderful way to start our mornings and wind down the day.
- The fully enclosed front and backyards meant my dog could cruise around without any fear of him sneaking out or ending up in the street.
- The location was perfect! Every place in town we wanted to go was no more than a 5 minute drive away or a 10-15 minute walk away. Right next to the river, close to restaurants / breweries and Drake Park and a wonderful neighborhood to boot.

We were in town from Portland & Dallas to go skiing at Mt. Bachelor - this place is an awesome location relative to the mountain. We enjoyed the fire pit, fireplace and hot tub. Thanks for having us!

What an amazing and special place. Look no further than this place in Bend. The house itself has so much character and exploring within. The book selection was so neat. The fire places are an amazing touch. You are right across from mirror pond where you can access downtown directly. The hot tub was clean and a great touch to the property. We had everything we needed and more. Very responsive and accommodating hosts!

This is the absolute best place to stay in Bend. The location is unbeatable, walk-able to everything you need! My husband and I brought my parents for their first Air BnB experience and they were so incredibly impressed with the Stones Throw home. Beautifully appointed and very cozy. The hot tub in the back was a lovely surprise. We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at the Hygge Harmony house. This is a quaint house with loads of atmosphere and it is maintained in immaculate condition. They have supplied it with everything you might need for your stay. We were originally going to do some cooking at the house but we were only there three days and there were so many restaurants within a short walk that we never did. Our favorite was Cibelli's Westside Pizza which was literally about a 50 ft. walk out the backyard gate. We also recommend using the growler provided in the house to visit the Sunriver Brewery which is about a half block away. The covered food truck plaza is also a very short walk and has great food. We really enjoyed out stay there and will certainly recommend it to our friends.

Hygge Harmony was the perfect place to spend the weekend celebrating my birthday. It was so much fun exploring Bend and having a cozy place to relax at the end of each day. The house had everything we needed, and we were surrounded by tons of cute shops, breweries, and restaurants. I wish our trip had been longer so that we could have done more! We'll definitely be coming back to Bend.

This place was amazing. Exceeded all expectations. So many wonderful amenities. Loved having 2 gas fireplaces. It was such a fun stay and I can't wait to book again on my next trip to Bend.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We took multiple walks across the river and through Drake park, sampled the food trucks that are right out the back door on a couple of different occasions, and the on our last night we cooked in the wonderful kitchen. We can't wait to get back to Bend, and we will definitely stay here again.

This cottage is as cute as the photos and in a great location. Very close to the cute shops and restaurants in Bend and just a block away from Mirror Pond (a lovely spot to walk). Walking distance to breweries. Neighborhood is safe and quiet. Bedrooms were larger than expected.

This is such a cute place we didn't want to leave. It was clean, very well decorated, had all the amenities you would expect and it was in a great location. A short walk along Mirror Pond to get to downtown, and right down the street from other restaurants and breweries.

We had a lovely stay in this well appointed historic home! A block from the river, walking distance to downtown, great fenced backyard... we hope to return for another stay in the future!

We loved the house and especially the location! Great neighborhood. Can walk down Harmon to foot bridge that crosses river, right into Drake Park. Great walk with the dog, Cody, & right into the park! Great coffee shop and bakery at next street down and some restaurants around as well. People in Bend are very friendly & the town is extremely dog friendly! Host was great at texting restaurant suggestions the night before we came. Thanks, we'll be back!

After being on the road for several days, our yellow lab "Harley" loved relaxing in the back yard & exploring the trails along the Deschutes. Bend is such a fun town-- We hope to be back again soon!

Today we arrived in Bend! This little cottage is just so cute! I love the old style phones and the outside patio space! This place is amazing, we have a little doggie, pixie, and she loves it here! She's so happy! The bedrooms are flawless, I really love the bigger bedroom. And I'm happy to have AC! I love it here!
