We had a great stay at Diana’s place in Bend. Great location, comfortable house and communication was great! We would highly recommend staying here if you need a comfortable place while visiting Bend! Thank you Diana, we will be back!

This spot is a little gem. Wonderful location…Can walk for groceries, restaurants and shopping. House is so comfortable, kitchen has everything, bathroom spotless- the whole house is spotless. This is a real find!! I can’t wait to go back!!

This place was perfect for a weeks stay between my girlfriend and I! We went skiing at Mt Bachelor for the week so coming back to this cozy bungalow was perfect! Everything about the house was great! The hot tub was amazing and just what we needed after a long days skiing! No complaints from our stay here! Our host was amazing and responded incredibly fast and made sure our stay was great! Check in and check out we’re both very simple and made the process a breeze! Would 100% stay here again when we return to bend at some point in the future!

After a long 8 hr drive, I arrived at Basalt and easily accessed the house which was well lit and welcoming. Lights and heat were on and I immediately felt at home. Beds are super comfy and the bathroom is well thought out with plenty of storage and great water pressure! The kitchen is fun to cook and hang out in, and well-stocked. I appreciated coffee, tea & cocoa prep station. Diana made the whole stay easy and I will definitely return in the spring!

Great stay. Quiet street, but near downtown. We were able to walk everywhere. Good store nearby as well as bakery.

The location of this home is great, lots in walking distance. The house is clean, clutter free, functional.

- The noise policy here is VERY strict. Received a message requesting that we be "whisper quiet" due to past complaints. This was messaged after booking and made us feel on edge/unwelcome during our stay.

- The hot tub was not working during our stay, $25/night credit received.

- The host has a detailed binder with recommendations for the area.

- There are a lot of fruit trees lining the yard, resulting in fruit rotting in the yard. Understandable, but did result in pesky bugs. I would be concerned about bringing my dogs to this home due to the amount of fruit they could eat in the yard.

- The parking space for this home is small and neighbors park behind it, making it challenging to leave the space. Would recommend street parking larger vehicles.

- This host was more communicative than I prefer, but kind and helpful.

Very cute bungalow, we loved it! Walking distance to grocery store and a few yummy places to eat! The cruisers were a fun addition and we took a long bike ride around town! Clean, quiet and comfortable! Had everything we needed and we will go back.

We really enjoyed our stay in Bend. We stayed one day in the city and took one day to head out to the mountains. The place was clean and stayed cool despite the heat of the summer. The beds were super comfortable and quiet. We spent a week traveling around the state and this was the only place where the beds did not squeak. We were particularly attentive to this given that we had to share a room with the baby that was alert to these sounds.

Amenities were closer than expected, including a grocery store less than a block away. Its a beautiful city and it was a beautiful home to stay in.

Perfect location to walk around different parts of Bend! Some great breakfast places within a few blocks. The house was cozy and the yard was shady and enjoyable to relax in.

Close to downtown, comfortable - with all the great amenities (including the Hot Tub!). One block from a full service grocery store and a nearby fun coffee shop. The kitchen had everything we needed. 5 stars all the way for this best-kept secret in Bend!

This 2/1 bungalow was perfect for 2-3 people and would be adequate for 4 since it’s so close to many things you’d want to do in Bend. It was comfortable, cute, and I especially loved the front, covered porch for sitting in the evening.

Diana was a great host! We felt right at home at her house. The bed was really comfortable. The hot tub was a great bonus too! Super short walk to a nice grocery store, restaurants, and breweries. We will definitely book with her again!

We had a wonderful stay celebrating our 20th year anniversary! An epic couple of days at Bachelor (snow in May!). A huge win for the Kraken as well, not to mention all your delicious Bend beers! Thx and we'll see you again!

This is a great place! We all loved the hot tub. We used the bikes, which were in good condition. There's more than enough space for 4 people. We found all the staples we needed in the kitchen to make scrambled eggs in the morning. We also appreciated the laundry with detergent!

We had a great stay here! The bed was very comfortable, and the hot tub a wonderful amenity. Really enjoyed the private parking spot off the back alley too, and so walkable to some great spots in Bend.

Excellent location close to everything with a bike. Bikes provided were comfortable and got the job done well. Home was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well appointed. The location was nice and quiet.

They thought of just about everything, including a coffee grinder, for the excellent selection of coffee beans you can purchase at the grocer next door. Good selection of towels for shower and hot tub.

The host did an excellent job, and we hope to stay there again someday. Home was everything we hoped it would be and more. She very much deserves the 5 star review. Great job Diana!

Just what we needed for my Son and I on a ski getaway. Hot tub was key to refreshing and loosening the legs.

Excellent space to unwind after a day at the mountain. Proximity to coffee shops and bakery in the morning was clutch for a quick bite before heading up to ski. Hot tub came in handy to ease the inevitable aches from the ski day.

Will definitely attempt to book again in the future for ski trips.

I"m glad iI found Diana's bungalow rental. A pleasant difference from what I normally rent...1920's cottage but good upgrades and hot tub.
Getting there right now is a hassle due to Bend's super slow 14th Street construction with street closures.
I plan on returning.

We loved our stay at the bungalow! The hot tub was a real treat before AND after days of playing in the snow, the bed was comfortable, and the location was within walking distance of good restaurants. Diana was helpful and responsive.

The Bungalow was charming, clean and comfortable. Diana provided everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and there were lots of towels and washcloths. It was a 5 star stay, and we will stay again when we visit Bend. It is an awesome place to stay in a quiet neighborhood, with a great grocery store with in walking distance.

Great stay in a great location! We love this part of town, walkable to Newport market, Spork, 10 Barrel etc. This was a cozy little house, accurately pictured and described. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook including basic spices and oil. BBQ with spare propane just in case. It has very comfortable beds. The yard and bbq are nice. This place has early quiet hours especially for outside and hot tub use (10 pm), due to neighborhood location . This was fine for us as we were two people and weren't in 'party mode', but good to note. We didn't use the cruiser bikes, enjoying the walk, but did appreciate the option and did use the secure shed to store our mt bikes overnight which was very much appreciated.

Most enjoyable. Great location. The house was well stocked with supplies for our use, all the electronic devices worked and the hot tub was an added bonus. We would definately stay here again.

We REALLY appreciate the fact that you use UNscented laundry products and don't use air fresheners or sprays! We are both very sensitive to scents and have left rentals early due to the smell.

The house was very CLEAN, cute, and cozy. We lived in Bend for several years so we knew our way around and this house was right by the places we needed to be on this trip. For anyone not from the area, you provide ample information about food and entertainment. The growler and chilled glasses are a very classy touch, and the Halloween candy was very much needed and appreciated!

We had a wonderful stay! The fenced in back yard was amazing to visit in and perfect for dogs. Location was great!The beds were very comfortable and clean. The bathroom is super small so plan to get ready in the master bedroom. Mirror space is limited.

Everything about the bungalow was perfect! The location, the communication, it was cozy, and if I could have my morning coffee in that backyard everyday, I would! We can’t wait to stay here again!

This bungalow was just what we were looking for. Close to breweries and shops downtown and the perfect place to come back to after a day of hiking.

The cottage was the perfect place to relax. Came very well equipped. Super comfortable furniture too. I especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the early morning with a cup of coffee .

This was a great spot in Bend. Shaded and in a quiet neighborhood, it was so nice when the weather was blazing hot. An easy 1 block walk to the grocery store, 4 blocks to 10 Barrel Brewery and about 1/2 a mile to downtown bend, you can be anywhere quickly.

The house was clean and well stocked. There is a great couch on the front porch to sit with great wifi coverage. I would highly recommend.

This home was perfect for us. We love the location. The yard is fully fenced and private with mature trees. The hosts communication was exceptional. It’s a smaller two bedroom one bath home with all that we needed and more.

we absolutely LOVED this house, the neighborhood and the location. we were able to walk to the house from main events downtown and rode bikes around the river in the morning. everything was supplied from laundry soap to body lotion to coffee filters and spices. all we had to do is bring ourselves and some food. everything was very clean and the hot tub was amazing! we will definitely stay here again if we get to visit Bend again!

This spot has everything for a laid back family vacation! The kitchen was functional and included enough dishes and tools for actual meals. There were nice towels and pillows. Host instructions and explanations were simple and clear. The hot tub/yard/patio table situation was just lovely.

We enjoyed this house a lot, it was quite small but very comfortable for four people who know each other well. It is a great location, one half block from Newport Market along with Chow and Back Porch Coffee. The house is old but but well appointed and clean. The beds were very comfy! The outdoor grill worked very well and there’s a nice outdoor table for six. The neighborhood is quiet. Linens, comforters and towels are plentiful. The Hot tub was okay but not hot enough for us.

Our bungalow was a clean, quiet, comfortable retreat. We are seniors and having grocery store nearby was great. It is just short drive to riverfront parks for walking and bird watching. We left something behind and the staff promptly retrieved it for us. We would definitely stay here again. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

This was the perfect place for our group of 4 adults, a baby, and 3 big dogs! Perfect location to walk to shops and restaurants, and right next door to a lovely grocery store. Everything in the home was well equipped and clean. The dogs loved the big fenced yard. Communication with the hosts was very responsive.

Sweet little bungalow in a great location walking distance to breweries on the west side and also downtown. Hot tub great after exploring. One bedroom with a comfy king bed and one small bedroom (a little tight for 2 tall adults - but doable). Yard a bonus for our furry travel friends! Would recommend.

Clean, quiet, private space easily walkable to much of Bend. Was a fantastic spot to stay with a dog. Hot tub was sparklingly clean and such a joy after a cold day skiing. Diana and her team were quick to respond to any questions and were clear in all communications. The indoor space is a smidge smaller than anticipated, but this is purely a result of the lens angles in the photos. (Would be a bit crowded with 4 adults.) Would definitely recommend this spot for ease and comfort while exploring Bend, Bachelor, and the surrounding area.

The highlight of this spot was the fabulous location. It is very walkable to restaurants, bakeries, breweries, and just a block away from a lovely local grocery store! It has all the feels of a comfortable home - with a added benefits of a hot tub, laundry, and all the essentials in the kitchen. We hope to stay here again soon!

We had an excellent stay here in Bend. The house was well maintained and the hosts thought of all the little things (dog sheets, hot tub towels, shower supplies, etc). It was a great location and we were able to walk to brunch, breweries and dinner while also being a short 30ish min drive to the slopes. Would come back and stay here again!

This home is in an excellent location just off of Newport where you can easily walk to Newport Market, Nancy P's and dining locations, as well as a longer but gentle walk to downtown along the river. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for our family + dogs. Communication is friendly and easy with Diana + team and check in/out instructions are simple to follow. This is our second stay with A Stone's Throw Bungalow properties and we highly recommend.

Fun and easy place to stay especially with a dog and small child. All the amenities including a nice fenced yard and a high chair. Great location in a quiet neighborhood, close to groceries and fun eateries. Love that they have bikes and a hot tub. We have stayed there twice in the last few years and will be back again.

This is our second time staying at this cottage. It is comfortable for a small family and has most everything you need. We enjoyed the proximity to downtown, the mountain, and the hot tub.

we came to Bend during the off-season, so we were unable to take advantage of all of the cottage's amenities, but I can say that the hot tub was amazing, as was the access to laundry and closeness to downtown. the hosts were incredibly responsive anytime we had needs or questions. it will top the list for our next visit to Bend!

A reunion of great work friends from across the country in Boston. A weekend of adventure, exploration, laughs and fond memories. We had many sparkling days in Central Oregon. Suggest you visit the Alpacas at Cresent Moon Ranch.

Overall great place- great location, good set-up inside the home, great property, good amenities. Only issue was intermittent problems with hot tub functioning properly.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Bend. It was close to so many amenities. The house is so cut and comfortable.

This house is the perfect location for walking and biking to anywhere in downtown bend.

The use of bikes/locks/helmets was extremely convenient. We biked to the amphitheater which was roughly 2 miles away. It made the show very easy to get to and from.

The house itself is old but is upgraded and well thought out. Simple yet small touches to add convenience for guests.

I would highly recommend.

This house is in a great location, nice quiet neighborhood but close to whatever you want. The bedding and towels are super comfy, kitchen well stocked and adorable yard. We didn’t have time for a hot tub but it looked inviting !

Hands down our favorite house to stay in! The bungalow is super cute and charming (and really clean!). We love the private, fenced yard, the hot tub, and the patio out front. This house is perfect for a couples getaway!

Thank you for a lovely home away from home. My daughter and I came to met my new grandson from my married daughter. Splendid time with my older grandson 4 1/2 and my new grandson was wonderful. Darn covid stopped us all from being able to be together. Now that we are all vaccinated we really could enjoy each other again. We never got a chance to use the hot but maybe next time.

Bachelor, unwinding in the hot tub and everything I needed to cook dinner in the kitchen! Its a far away from CT but if we we're in the area again we will definitely stay again!

A Stones Throw is exactly what we were looking for on our first visit to Bend. The location is central to shopping and dinning with just a 15 minute walk through a beautiful park into downtown. The local employee owned market a half block away incredible and made shopping for food and drink convenient with high quality. Several local bakeries and restaurants are nearby. Don't be fooled by the name, nearby SPORK is fun and has excellent food. The house is comfortable and very clean plus the hot tub was the perfect end to a day of shopping. Brook and Diana were very responsive and their recommendations as well as their library of local area books came in handy. All in all, this is an excellent house for a couple or family with small kids. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip.

Brook & Diana's place was the perfect place for our family's visit to Bend. The place is in a great location - within walking distance to the market, Galveston with microbreweries and restaurants, and a mile away from downtown. The place was very cozy and having the pack n' play and high chair was great for our 13 month old son. Loved the backyard and the hot tub, where we spent every evening. We would certainly stay here again next time we come to Bend!

What a fabulous time we had at this wonderful bungalow!! Location was perfect.... walked to the grocery store and/or coffee shop each morning prior to heading out for our daily adventures. Well-appointed cute bungalow. Close to great dining options and a really nice market just around the corner with lots of ready-to-go meals and a great wine/beer/spirits selection. We enjoyed a cozy night in on the couch watching the large TV with access to Netflix. One mattress had a thick pillow-top, which my girlfriend loved, and the other mattress was firmer. There were plenty of towels, for the bath and the outdoor hot tub, and onsite laundry.

We were so impressed by this property and found it fully stocked with everything we needed and more. The kitchen was a true chef's kitchen, which is rare for a rental in my experience. The beds were super comfortable and the yard is ideal for morning coffee or evening beers while grilling. We stayed with our four year old son as a birthday weekend for him and he loved the provided toys and games as well as the garage to store his bike. We could walk to town and nearby parks easily and had a blast at Drake Park with friends. Top off the day of adventures with a soak in the hot tub and what could be better?

This is a phenomenal property. The amenities were very thoughtful, and we we're not left wanting anything more. Often when we stay at other Airbnb rentals the places are lacking basic amenities such as nice soap, cooking supplies, and cleaning supplies. But not this spot, it had everything! On top of that they had a very cute welcome basket for our doggie which included dog sheets and poop bags! All things we needed were well labled. On top of all that the location was the best, we could walk to everything!

I like choosing different neighborhoods each time, but I think the west side has been changing, growing and improving over the years. There are a lot of good pubs and breakfast places within walking distance of the bungalow. It's a small place, but really comfortable, private and in a great neighborhood. We loved the hot tub.

Diana and Chris's home was absolutely everything we needed. It's super close (walkable) distance to multiple restaurants and stores. It's also only 30 minutes away from Smith Rock which was an amazing hike and 30 min to ski. Overall, a perfect place to stay for whatever your plans are. PERFECT location with very responsive, gracious hosts. We LOVE this house and have been here multiple times. It is walking distance to Bend's West Side as well as downtown. The house is super cute, clean, and just makes one feel comfortable and well. The hosts are available and respond quickly to needs (the only one we had was a request to stay longer!). The icing on the cake is a well-maintained hot tub for easing the muscles after a day on the mountain. Would recommend to anyone and would LOVE to be back!

Easy access to Mt Bachelor and a private hot tub after a long day on the mountain. This house is walking distance to great coffee shops and restaurants, and a nice walk through the park to downtown. We enjoyed our stay in the Basalt Bungalow, taking full advantage of the great local eateries within walking distance of the property (Spork!) as well as putting the well-stocked kitchen and bbq grill to use. The first day was a work day at the college for me, but the rest of the weekend was full of play including a great first day of the ski season at Bachelor. our party consisted of two girlfriends and a well-behaved dog who all enjoyed a girls weekend with a new off-leash hike every day. Soaks in the available hot tub were well earned! The board games on hand proved to be great entertainment for a 10 year old visiting nephew who put the tablet down to play several rounds of Sorry...Saturday night game night was warm and toasty here despite the chill outside. This home is small and cozy though would easily accommodate two couples. It's well appointed though still retains the casual charm of an older home with history.

This is the real Bend experience! We loved staying at this well cared for home with thoughtful design with our dog Tioga. the neighborhood was great and we took advantage of the close proximity to cool restaurants and markets...we will probably be back : )

"Excellent Bungalow"

This small 1920's bungalow is located to everything cool in Bend. Practically next door to an excellent high end market that is foodies delight. The owners have well provisioned the kitchen and the house. Good quality beds, we slept well. Many of the fine touches like the hot tub and the bikes we didn't have time to use. But the washing machine and dryer with soap etched was put to good use. The owner is super responsive. An excelllent value. The house is perfect for two couples but there is only one small bathroom, so bring a bathrobe !

We really enjoyed our stay here at the Bungalow. We were off exploring so much that we could use a few more days to stay here and relax! We loved the hot tub and especially the spacious and secure yard for our dog. What a treat! We've been to this area many times - but there is always so much to see. Our favorites: Hiked up above Todd Lake 2.5 miles to an amazing view of Broken Top! Todd Lake was a very scenic stroll too. Anything at Newberry by Obsidian Flow, Paulina Point overlook, 360 degree views and the Paulina Falls. The High Desert Museum is always a great stop as well! Definitely enjoyed the walk downtown to enjoy all the shops and restaurants. Spork and the sushi place nearby were awesome too. Thanks for a comfortable stay - we'll be back!

We had such a fun week! We love your bungalow. It's so cozy and charming. Our favorite thing was looking a the stars while soaking in the hot tub! Great restaurants and shops within walking distance. We rode the bikes to Drake Park and also rode to the Old Mill district and then walked the Deshutes River Trail. This place is a gem and we're lucky to have found it.

"Fantastic Place"

I really enjoyed staying here. The kitchen is a real plus, very well-supplied for a serious cook but not cluttered at all, and there's an easy-to-use gas grill just outside. Really appreciated having Roku streaming for access to my Amazon account, Vevo, YouTube and more on the TV. Nice yard for my dog, storage shed to keep my bike in ... lots to recommend this place. Owner was very nice and responded quickly to queries.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us. The location can't be beat. Our dog, Samantha loved your spacious yard! We ate at Wild Rose, Kababas, Nancy P's. The Food Carts, and finally 10 Barrel. We really enjoy coming to Bend.

Our family had a great time in Bend. We were especially thankful to have a shaded house to stay at since it was sooo hot. Bummed that we didn't utilize the hot tub. The front and back yard is awesome for humans and dogs. Thankful for the floatation devices in the shed. We don't have cable at home so it was nice to indulge in ESPN. Hope to come back again in the winter!

Spent a delightful week in Bend visiting my son & his girlfriend (owners of the Looney Bean Coffee Shop on NW Brooks). Basalt Bungalow is a perfect central location. I have loved staying here with all the coziness and wonderful amenities.

This was our 2nd stay in the Basalt Bungalow. Our trip this year was amazing and we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else! All of the little details for our kids and dog are much appreciated! This year we used the bikes, orca floatie and kids life vest almost everyday. We celebrated my 34th b-day here and loved hosting a few friends at the Bungalow while the kids snoozed! We will be back for sure. Thank you for everything. We only wish we could stay longer. Fav spots 2014: The Lot, 10 Barrel Brewery and Chow. The fresh plums that we made into a plum sauce were an extra bonus. Love Bend! See you next summer!

Thank you so much for welcoming us into your wonderful house during our stay in Bend. Some of our teammates had a relaxing time here recovering from the race. We spend evenings enjoying each other's company on the porch and relaxing our achy muscles in the hot tub. The location is great as well. We were able to walk downtown Bend and the waterfront. Thank you for the lovely stay and we very well may return next year!

This was perfect for our family of 4 After a nice long hike to Tumalo Falls, we all looked forward to the hot tub. It was wonderful! We love that this place was close to everything! Our 1yr old labradoodle LOVED the yard and all the sticks to play with. I loved the old school push mower; couldn't help myself from mowing the lawn a few times 🙂 We will be back to Bend next summer.

We had a great time both in Bend an at 'A Stone's Throw.' What a great location to explore all the wonderful things that Bend has to offer. We came for the mountain biking (and the beer.) What a perfect little cottage in Bend! We had such an amazing time here - a little hiking and snowboarding and a lot of good food, good beer and great times! We loved cruising the bikes around town and hitting up all the spots on the "Ale Trail". Beautiful weather for it too! Hot tub was a great way to unwind after it all. Thanks for everything!

Thank you for letting us stay at the Basalt Bungalow! Josh and I have stayed here once before, but this time brought 4 friends with us! We had and excellent time skiing/snowboarding on Mt Bachelor and doing the Bend Ale Trail! The home-like atmosphere of the Bungalow let us relax, cook and enjoy each others company. The hot tub was a welcome retreat at the end of everyday! Thank you, until next time!

The cottage is great - once we got here! Thanks to Diana for being so patient and staying on the phone and 'walking us through' on getting here. My phone battery died and lost GPS! The hot tub was a life saver after being on the ski slopes! A big plus here for providing fresh ground coffee! Thanks again - We'll be back!

It snowed!!! Thank you for sharing your lovely property. It is the perfect size. Our pup 'Pasta' thoroughly enjoyed running in the yard and chasing pine cones. We enjoyed the hot tub and close proximity to beer. We would love to stay here again. Thank you!
